I was caught up in one of those attacks (accused of practicing medicine
without a license, interstate illegal drug sale, you name it - they
claimed a LOT of lies about me which were pure inventions they had made)
and I defended it successfully, but had to be out of income for 3 months
to do it.

After that they put it in the newspaper that I had been "disciplined - but
it was too late for the cat" !!!
The truth was:
The cat was healed from a chronic condition the vet could not fix, using a
remedy the client bought at my suggestion via email. The client showed the
healthy cat to the vet (who was part of quackwatch on the veterinary side)
and who pretended great interest, asked for my name etc. I was reported to
the state - investigated and after 3 months, cleared.

If quackwatch had a genuine problem with homeopathy they would be using
truth not blatant fabrications against homeopaths.
So this is not about what they believe - it's a purely evil group. They
attack blindly and unethically.

Whoa, *that's* a pretty egregious story!! The vet reported you
*because* you had cured the cat, huh. I hope she switched vets, and
told him why?

Hi Shannon,

Yes she changed vets - she was really angry to have been lied to as
well - at the vet pretending an interest in homeopathy to get my name
and details from her - for completely different use of them than the
interest he claimed.
These quackwatch guys have a large organization and it is WELL
organized. their aim is to find and squash all hom eopaths
everywhere. There are many members. The credo is to do this:
* If the homeopath has a medical license, then accuse them of
unethical practice;
* If the homeopath does not have a medical license, then accuse them
of practicing medicine without a license.

It is a very sick bunch of "humans" involved.

at this point in time we have a sizable body of literature that describes the
history of allopathic medicine. from barbaras erenreich and ehrich's
Witches, Midwives and Nurses to Dana's recent articles run by Natural
News. They discuss the history of the takeover of medicine/healing by
a particular mentality that needs to control everything and everybody.
the recent (last 100+ yrs) has a well documented history of the competitive
nature of allopathy most particularly against homeopathy. they lost a
10 yr legal battle against the chiropractors in the usa where the major
medical assoc's were told to cease and desist badmouthing chiropractors,
stop discouraging people from seeing them and told to learn to accept them.
the basis of the problem is pure competition with a system of healing that
far outdoes what allopaths do. what these quackbuster types do is use
money, advertising and connections to the media and big pharma for
their success.
what we need to do is organize as heavily as they do. politically the success
of the current right wing power was, in part, based on what they learned from
the left civil rights, anti-war and feminist movements of the 1970's. now we have
to update our strategies and tactics in order to gain inlfuence. right now the
cards seem to be stacked against us, but i know from history, that is we
organize heavily, use the internett extensively for this, we can wage a major
counter attack for our health freedoms

this is the process and it is an old one. years ago i read a jethro kloss
herbal i think. i think that is the book that talked about someone being hauled
into court for murdering a patient with toxic herb, lobelia. the patient came
to court and spoke glowingly about the tx she received from this herbalist.
other people came forth to testify on this herbalist's behalf. but the outcome
of this trial was the labeling lobelia a toxic drug.
doesn't this sound familiar? i think we will be seeing even more of this draconian
attacking. over the past few years we have seen ephedra banned, vit e assaulted,
vit c and other supplements assaulted. and it is always the same lying attacks.
but they are used to frighten the public. i think it is called softening the public for
the real attack on our freedom of health choice.
unfortunately, you were the cannon fodder in this case. so sorry you had to go
through that. but as these people try to use such cases on their behalf, we need
to turn it around and use them to demonstrate the irrationality of their positions.
