Minutus

Friend of mine was in a car accident on Thursday night and suffered a bang to the head. I gave her Arnica 200 which she took Friday and Saturday which has managed to calm her down and deal with the shock and aching but she still has a lot of dizziness and nausea - this hasn't changed. I have just given her Nat Sulph 200 but if this doesn't work has anyone got any other suggestions?

I have just returned from spending 5 days on George Vithoukas course in Greece and we saw a case where the same thing had happened as in your case and he recommended Arnica in a higher dose and to give it 200, 1M and 10M in morning, noon and night esp if there is concussion. The course which incidentally was amazing...

GV prescribes in this way often and I have never understood it.
If a remedy is working - why should one go up potency so quickly?

Hope you are well?
My understanding of this way of prescribing and in relation to the case I was referring to is that Arn was very well indicated and therefore one must only do this if the remedy is clear AND if the M/E state of the organism is strong enough to take it and especially if there is concussion as this can have an effect for years if not dealt with immediately after such an accident.
I suggested this to Rochelle as her friend did well on the 2x200, but some ss were not dealt with...
A question - would aconite work in this case if not given within 24hrs?
Rochelle - what are your friends M/E emotional ss, really should have asked this to begin with...

I would suggest go higher. Often we prescribe the right remedy, but the energy of the acute

I have just rung her it sounds as if the Nat Sulph is kicking in. She was so frustrated being in that she has been for a short walk in the terrible wind we have today. She says she was dizzy while out but better now back in house. The nausea is gone at the moment. Vertigo and nausea < when she stands up. She says "what has happened has happened , it was not my fault and there is nothing I can do about it." The car is a works car not hers. "I just want everything back to normal." Her neck feels stiff and I have suggested that she sees my osteopath tomorrow.

I do not like the sound of this - Nausea and Vomiting after a bang on the head is often a sign of a cracked skull!
Has she been to A & E and checked out?

She was taken to A and E by ambulance after the accident and they left her on a bed with her neck and head immobilised for 3 hours and no one even looked in on her. Our wonderful NHS!!! She was not even offered an X ray before she was discharged.
She is going to make an appointment to see her GP tomorrow. There is no vomiting only nausea.

Hi Rochelle
If the Osteopath you have suggested does Cranial Osteopathy, s/he may be able to tell if there is a need for further investigations.
Bangs on the head should not be taken lightly - especially if Nausea is still there since Thursday.
I would recommend she goes back to A & E saying she is still nauseous.
Hope she is OK.
