Broken bone advice needed

Can someone help me out with the best protocol for optimal healing of
a spiral fracture to the left middle metacarpal bone in a 15 yo
male "intense" athlete? My goal is speedy and complete healing. So
he will hopefully be able to start pre-season football training with
the rest of the team in mid-august.
The injury occurred a few nights ago. Sliding into home playing
baseball. (he was safe. that always seems the 1st question folks
ask - lol) I was not informed of the injury until 12 hrs later. So
got a late start on getting arnica started. He did refuse all
pain/inflammation meds at the hospital. The only treatment initially
approved was ice, an x-ray and soft cast.
I continued arnica until we could see the ortho surgeon for a more
detailed eval. Starting with 30C. Then giving 1 dose of 200C since
pain and swelling was getting worse. Once the bone was set and hard
casted, I switched to symphytum. With the plan to dose him daily at
night. As this remedy seems the best fit for his symptoms. He's had
two doses of sym 30C so far. Given once daily, in an MS, at night.
I've tried to research on my own. Info seems conflicting. Some
alternate arnica and symphytum until the fracture is completely
healed. Others just use symphytum, but with different potencies and
different dosing schedules. So I'm hoping some can give me better
direction on what I really should be doing for maximum results.
I have symphytum 30C and 12C available. Is one better than the
other? How often and for how long should I be giving? My son really
isn't showing many physical symptoms to work with. I'm going mostly
by what the x-ray and orthopod said was wrong.
Should I continue Arnica? Currently I'm only giving him symphytum.
I've seen Calc Phos be recommended several times. Should I be using
this? At what potency, dosing schedule, for how long, etc? Would I
use this with the others, or instead of?
Are their any dietary do's and don'ts I should be following?
I've increased the amount of fish oil he takes and make sure he's
getting calcium from food. He's a pretty healthy eater for a US
teenager.
Some have recommended bone building supplements. Should I be looking
at these or hope that his food will cover all his nutritional bases?
The one our homeopathic pharmacy recommended for him is OsteoPrime
Forte by PhytoPharmica. A division of Enzymatic Therapy, Inc.
Formulated to "Preserve mineral mass and promote the body's bone-
repair functions"

TIA for any guidance folks can offer.
