I fail to understand how we can compile an adequate repertory based on proving information on specific ages (for example on infants – since we do not use infants in provings). Instead, if you are arguing that we need more easily trackable components – based on provers ages or sex, that would be interesting – since at present we must dig through original provings to determine if the provers were 20 or 50.
The desire to have repertory software that narrows the search to a specific age and sex totally goes against individualization. That restricts our ‘vision’ to a box – saying that all 15 year old females have a particular set of symptoms/remedies and all 66 year old males have a particular set of symptoms/remedies. Do you find there is a specific and universal difference between a 20 year old female and a 25 year old female? Or are you suggesting age ranges? If so, who determines the range cutoffs – and what universal standard would apply?
A repertory program is only a convenient method to narrow down a MM search – it does not substitute for reading and understanding MMs - and it is certainly not a mechanistic remedy selector. Our current programs and repertories do separate specific male and female symptoms. We can readily use those specific symptoms for searches when and if appropriate to the individual case. I have not yet had any problems searching for prostate symptoms and instead getting menopause remedies. Likewise it is easy to skip over aging prostate symptoms or pregnancy when searching for a remedy for an infant. Inclusion and exclusion of words in current repertory software is available to use within an analysis, but again this is applied individually for case analysis. By utilizing “predefined classification based on specific age and sex” it would certainly appear you would be encouraging a step toward mechanical allopathic prescribing of homeopathic remedies and a step away from homeopathic analysis.

Dear,
My objective of talking about AGE and SEX is
physically "Age" and "Sex" which means according to me
that in addition to common type of symptoms like mind
symptoms/rubrics... there must be difference and
classification predefined for a specific age and sex,
if our client,s age is few months why softwares should
not present us rubrics of that Age group and Sex
excluding all symptoms/rubrics related to other
varieties of age grouping and sex , if client is male
then all female related symptoms should be
discarded/disviewed to us while we are using an
repertory software or we are reading its book
format,so this all must be evaluated with reference to
our client,s AGE and SEX and all symptoms correlation
should be available to a homeopath according to
his/her present client? It means that all symptoms
should be predefined according to age add sex and
should always be presented in a sense of this
categorisation, indexation of all rubrics should meet
the basic requirement of AGE and SEX.
All present day softwares like
Cara,Radar,Mercurius,ISIS,etc are useless without this
type of categorisation/indexation of symptoms. If we
find an data from these softwares which has the
largest database of symptoms and remedies,on
repertorisation of a case of infant we will also be
reading symptoms of girls,women,pregnant
women, prostate related symptoms while our client,s Age
is few months and sex is Male.
Do you understand now my point of view which is not a
just statement but a clear cut "Research Review" in
using homeopthic repertorisation therefore my
challenge in changing repertorisation pattern still
stands their? that all repertorisation should start
with Age and Sex biding which means availability of
data speedly, easily, and accurately according to desire
of homeopath searching for a particular age group and
sex of his/her client and it will save software user,s
time also which is precious then the software price?
Join this discussion i,m ready to answer each query.
regards,
Mumtaz Ali Riaz,Chiniot,Pakistan.
