expiration date of homeopqathic mother tinctures

Dear List Member,
In practice must there be a 5 year expiration date of homeopqathic mother tinctures, when they are kept in 50% alcohol?
BTW, What about Wine? How does it keep so long and can be used after many years?
I have Crataegus MT, with expiration date of about 1.5 yeras ago. It was made by Boiron from the berries and still has an excellent smell and taste, as when it was fresh.
I am unable to find anything like it here, and I wonder if I can still use it.
Also, are there any guidelines in this issue?
