Dosing highly allergic child

I have an 8 year old boy who needs Silicea who has lots of sever allergies.
I've been convinced he's needed it for the past year and the more reading I
share with the mother the more confirmatory symptoms she shares with me
(like the latest he's can never been able to eat warm food.) The issue is
maybe four years ago or so, a naturopath in another state gave the boy a
homeopathic remedy and the allergic reaction was so severe it set him way so
he was off all foods for months eating only formula broken down into amino
acids. I've witnessed him break out in welts from touching his ball that was
touched by another child who had eaten a few walnuts several hours earlier.
He reacts to microscopic bits of egg, ginger and nuts that become airborne
when a food containing them is brought into the room.
Last year I assumed he'd do just fine with water dosing orally or topically
and told the mom to let me know if/when she'd like to proceed. Now that
I've gotten to know them better, I too am concerned about any potency
carriers. Any suggestions on how we could help the boy in a way the
justifiably protective mother might permit?

Dear Cheryl
What do you mean by a "potency carrier" Spring water should be fine. You could put 1 teaspoon into more water and get him to take 1 teaspoon of that a la Luc de Schepper's methods.
Do you have one of Sandi Radomski 's etox lasers as they can be helpful with such a case. See
http://www.allergyantidotes.com/Product ... lasers.htm also see the main site at

Remember that Carc is a good remedy for multiple allergic reactions if it fits.

Hi Cheryl,
One approach to the super-sensitive that's been mentioned a few times
is to begin by having the person simply *hold* the remedy, for specific
period of time (five minutes was mentioned as a possible starting
place?); if that is either well-tolerated or brings no response(?),
move on to olfaction, and when/if appropriate / necessary move on only
then to diluted doses etc.
(Just as a thought, a remedy to consider as possibly useful at *some*
point for severe multiple allergies is carcinosin, either as "indicated
remedy" and/or as possible intercurrent.)
Good luck!!

Cheryl,
I would start with olfaction and then skin method first. Then once ready go to liquid dosing with large dilution glasses, probably 3 - 16 ounce and just a drop or 2 as a dose.

Hello Cheryl,
I've had success with very sensitive patients by having them sniff an LM 1 remedy, perhaps once a week or even less often.
Make sure the first few sniffs are very slight. No deep inhaling as they certainly will aggravate by doing that.
I've had my very sensitive patients do this for several months, becoming more and more robust, less and less hyper sensitive over time.
With him, perhaps open the remedy and set it next to him for a minute or two, not sniff for the first few doses. And make sure the mom keeps in contact with you to let you know what is going on.
Best wishes,
Marybeth Buchele HMC*

Also, thinking about trying another energetic approach to allergies such as NAET might be in order for this child at the same time as you are trying to do this remedy. I've seen really wonderful results in highly sensitive children and adults. If there is a reputable practitioner near you, you can have them test (and treat, if necessary) the remedy.
