Hi Shannoon,
This, of course, is a problem with all substances considered
non-poisonous - how come that provings still bring out symptoms - and
often a lot of them (as did ginger)? I also can think of no
explanation.
This is another problem (of all provings). We do not know how many of
the people who took part never came up with symptoms and therefore
just may not have been mentioned. Unfortunately there seems to
be no information in the provings on that issue.
You would be surprised to see how many of its provings were done,
bringing a lot of symptoms, with the non-potentized substance.
Again unfortunately there is, in the ginger provings, no information
on how much the provers took how frequently. For most of the provings
such information is given, however.
As I said, I am > biased

...
So am I - especially where coffee and tea are concerned:-)
Well, oxygen has been proved (Jeremy Sherr?) with quite virulent
symptoms afair (in the potencies, of course, as apparently all of the
modern provings). The others will probably follow one day (when the
sexy swans' and bald eagles' feathers have had their day:-).
Right now I have been spending some of my time and energy to study the
(old) provings. A general overview of them, especially as far as
symptoms from poisonings, provings of the crude substances (including
tinctures) and provings of the potencies are concerned.
I finally succeeded in getting together a small computer program to
sort them and put them together under various aspects.
Perhaps I'll write a "MM of Herbs, Spices and Innocuous Substances
Proven with the Crude Substances " and/or a "MM of Symptoms
of our Polycrests from Provings in the Potencies":-).
Since my source material is in Englilsh, I'd probably find no
publisher for it, though:-o
Regards
Luise
