Hi All,
Has anyone read about the man who (sadly) died recently from being stung by the Irukandji jellyfish in Australia?
Apparently it is a tiny jellyfish - about 2cms - the size of a peanut. Usually not lethal but very potent in its sting (hospitalise about 60 people per year according to the news).
Does anyone know if the venom from this jellyfish has been made into a remedy? Be interesting to know more about it.
All the best,
Lisa

Re: Irukandji jellyfish --- remedy?
Just found this ---- be interesting to find out how it would prove as a
remedy!
"The jellyfish venom causes a condition called Irukandji syndrome where the
victim feels a prickly sensation at first but 30 minutes later gets severe
cramps, stomach and back pains and nausea and can experience cardiac and
pulmonary complications.
"Depending on the severity of the stinging, it will range from mild symptoms
to cardiac or respiratory failure and possibly death," Seymour told
Reuters."
I bet an appropriately selected remedy could have saved the man who died. So
sad that Homeopathy isn't widely available to people...
Just thinking about how many unnecessary deaths must be happening......

Lisa,
How about Medusa??? That is in the Boericke's MM. This is the Jelly fish, however, it may not be exactly THE jellyfish you were looking for.
Hope this helps!
