You will be fine, you did the best you could. I am with Rochelle and rolled mercury around in our hands etc. There are toxins everywhere and leach into our systems. I do know of two homeopathic items you can take but you need to email me off list if you are interested as they are not “classic”. Kathy

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

I am in Peru, so my dental options are limited. If there is a mercury
removal specialist out there, I have no idea how to find that person.
Dentists here usually don't have websites like American dentists. I tried
googling, but didn't find anything.

I researched all the mercury removal precautions, but the best I could find
was to travel 2.5 hours by bus to a dentist who uses anesthetics, rubber
dams, and suction, and charged me an arm and a leg (by Peruvian standards)
for it. But dentists in my local area don't use any of that, so for me it
was worth it. He removed all mercury and replaced it with composite
filling. My mouth is mercury free now.

My son is still refusing to take any formula. He will accept cow's milk,
butter, avocado, and bananas--so that is what he is eating. Needless to
say, we are both chomping at the bit to go back to breastfeeding.

I also asked my homeopath about this. He recommended Merc Viv, so I am
taking that as well as eating lots of cilantro. I am hoping this will allow
me to return to breastfeed in a few days.

I would love to continue to get suggestions and ideas. Thanks.

Helen.

Re mercury toxicity: it appears that excellent gut flora protects against mercury (and no doubt other) poisoning by somehow trapping the toxins and “escorting” them out of our system. That would explain why we can (some of us) handle mercury with impunity.
I once broke an old thermometer and little mercury balls rolled on the terrazzo floor. I was trying to trap them and dispose of them (vaguely knowing they were toxic) and suddenly they “jumped” onto my heavy gold wedding band. It went from gold to silver-looking. I got it off, washed my hands well, and took it to a little jeweler (it was the early 90s and we were living in Cameroon) who cleaned the ring and gave it back. Have never had problems that I know of from the mercury exposure that I know of. Teresa (Northern VA)
