Need help for possible Gulf War Syndrome depression
Posted: Sat Feb 09, 2008 11:37 am
Hi, my brother has been on prozac for 14 years and has recently gone
off of it gradually and was surprised to note that he is just as
depressed as he was while on it.
He is currently undergoing a crisis and is about to check himself
into a VA hospital.
I have been trying to get him to undergo some kind of alternative
treatment and pushing for homeopathy. I think he is now willing to
explore this and I would like to know if there is anyone that has
experience with this in particular.
We are in rural Virginia but he is currently in Virginia Beach
looking for military help and he could also travel to New York if
need be for a consult.
Currently he has thoughts of suicide, does not like to be alone, mood
swings, etc etc.
Please let me know via the group or privately if there is anyone that
can help or any advice as to how to find someone, particularly
someone with experience in GWS. He was in Desert Storm and I believe
he was vaccinated to the maximum with who knows what.
Thanks,
Diane
