Post Traumatic Stress and Ancestral Trauma

Elizabeth Adalian will be speaking at the CHE Graduate Circle on how
post-traumatic stress and ancestral trauma can manifest and affect us.
She believes that trauma is an area that needs to be explored more in our
homeopathic practices. It is often overlooked, but can be a fundamental
factor in our patient's symptom picture. When we hear the word 'post
traumatic stress', we tend to associate it with being in a war zone or an
equally extreme situation. In fact, post traumatic stress can occur as a
result of many incidents that are much closer to home - abusive
relationships, loss of loved ones, childhood disruptions, redundancy,
financial difficulties, road accidents, difficult pregnancies/births.

Elizabeth will be looking specifically at how post traumatic stress
affects women and men differently. She has discovered that it often
leads to depression and addictions respectively. Addressing those needs
in our patients will be explored in this seminar.

Elizabeth has worked as a homeopath for over 20 years. She has become
increasingly interested in tracing illness back through the generations.
She has been a lecturer for many years and has worked with charities in
war-torn countries such as Bosnia and Croatia, where her interest in
trauma first became rooted.'
