Marshall Protocol

Hi,
I know some of the members here have auto-immune diseases and are
very knowledgable about them. I have just been reading about the
Marshall Protocol - www.MarshallProtocol.com
and was wondering if anyone had comments about it.
Looking at it superficially it seems to be saying that Sunlight,
because of it's role in producing Vit D actually worsens the disease,
even though it can make you feel better. They say that the disease
process is actually the result of micro-organisms that colonise
certain cells. The sunlight strengthens the micro-organisims so our
immune system can't kill them off - so in the summer months we move
into an asymptomatic period. Over winter the micro-organisms are
weaker so the immune system can kill them, resulting in physical
symptoms as they die off. Part of the protocol is to avoid as much
light as possible.
This may be off topic here, (I hope not) - but I thought it might be
relevant to finding the genus epidemicus picture for auto-immune
diseases.
Maybe something like - "Light aggravates" is an important
unrecognised rubric for auto-immune disease?
hoping for answers,
Gail.
