Wasn't it Dr. Hering who was sent by his professor back in the 1800s on a
mission to "debunk" homeopathy, became instead a convert and later a
world-famous homeopath? Teresa (Northern VA)

Yep. Now *that* took courage, and a clear, thoughtful look at the
actual evidence; something which gimpyblog is thus far successfully
resisting. Doesn't take much "courage" or "science" to keep parroting
misinformation, while refusing to look at further. (Disappointed.)

But the practice does have a fine, long tradition. E.g. the Catholic
church, who offered to jail and excommunicate Gallileo, rather than
look into his telescope. So, as religions go, I guess The Church of
the So-Called Skeptic has a colorful past...
"Scientist", pfft.

But Teresa--did you mean to put this homeolist thread onto Minutus? I
don't think GB has gotten here yet. (Quick--Don't tell him! :-) )
