IgaN and Homeopathy

Hi Group,

I am a 34 year old and have been diagonised with IgaN (Iga Nephropathy,
a case of Golumeronephritis) in April 2006.Initially I was taking
allopathic medicines, but when I after some research , I found that
this cannot be treated completely by allopathy though the chance is
good with Homeopathy.

I then started the homeopathic treatment and in one case my protein
leakage in the urine had come down to NIL (though now its hovering
around ++ ).Hence I still beleive that only homepathy can cure my
disease.

Questions:
Is there any one in this group who know people who were having this
disease and cured by homeopathy.

I have been running on low protein diet due to the nature of my disease
and have lost almost 20 Kgs of weight in the past 1.8 years or so.Is
there any specici diet to be followed while taking homeopathic
medicines.

Can it cure chronic diseases like ERDS (End stage renal disease which I
am passing through)

I am staying in Bangalore.

Thanks,
Dileep

Yes-I have treated cases like this with very good results.

I know that there are good homeopaths in Bangalore.

I once gave a talk at Karnataka Homeopathic Doctors association in
Bangalore - probably in 1995 or 96 and met many homeopaths.

Do not give up hope and continue with good homeopathy. Also at the
same time consult your nephrologist and track the biochemic values
as well. Explain the situation and get his/her cooperation for
getting homeopathic treatment - if you have a good relationship with
the nephrologist this might be possible.

Good luck and wishing you a happier and healthier new year.

while taking Homeopathic treatment I know that there are some food
restrictions on the certain food items like Coffee,Tea,Ice-creams,
garlic in food etc.,

Is these restrictions due to their strong odour. So we need to
completely avoid these.
Though I do not have any of these regularly, some times i feel like
having a small cup of tea (that too very rare, like once in a week or
so).Is it not advisable to have tea while taking homeopathic
medicines. Please note that I make sure there is atleast 2-3 hrs of
gap between my tea and medicine in-takes.

Thanks,
Dileep

Tea is fine with homeopathic remedies. It is coffee that needs to be
avoided!

In general there are no diet restrictions with homeopathic
remedies., tea or coffee or anything else.

Some individual remedies might need tweaking of the diet. I think
your homeopath should guide you in that.

I think it depends on the situation, the remedy and the closeness of
simillimum match. I was drinking pots of coffee while healing from
gangrene by homeopathy for example.

I do think the table of relationships of remedies is helpful with what
might antidote a specific remedy more easily - after all it is based on
long experience, (and coffee is mentioned in a few places). But it's not
a complete list! Nor is something listed always going to antidote.

It's hard to antidote a good simillimum - it's easier to antidote a
poorly matched remedy. I had one that helped me considerably (Aster) but
which was antidoted each time I ate/drank ginger. It was quite a
spectacular antidote too - felt instantly as if my head would burst.
[Aster has:
MIND - FEAR - apoplexy, of - night - feeling as if head would burst at
night; with
HEAD - PAIN - night - bursting pain]
...being the reason I chose Aster - which helped immediately for these
symptoms and also unexpectedly for a lot more. But I had to re-dose
after ginger each time.
Yet ginger is not listed as antidoting Aster. I've added it to my
personal notes - but whether ginger was an antidote for ME using Aster -
or whether it was an antidote if used for the bursting head aspect of
Aster or whether it is in general an antidote for Aster - who knows?
I've no idea how individual these things might be.

Namaste,
Irene

I have been taught that almost nothing can interfere with a well-chosen remedy in a properly dynamized potency. The body is starving for the information, and will seek out the energy and start working with it no matter what else is going on. We give remedies even to those on drug therapy or with addictions, and they all manage to work eventually, even through that fog. I might avoid certain foodstuffs within, say, an hour of taking a dose, but that is all that seems necessary, if that much, according to my personal experience and what I have observed.

A dietary dependency, however, can of course be a strong maintaining cause, and will need to be dealt with before a total resolution can be achieved.

Dileep,
I run a support organization for people with IgA Nephropathy, www.igansupport.org . There is dietary advice on the website, but it pertains to people in earlier stages of the disease. For ESRD, you should check with a nutritionist well-versed in treating kidney diseases.
I do know of people cured of IgAN by homeopathy, including my son. I don't know of anything, however, that can cure ESRD, because by that stage too much renal function has been lost and the pathology is too advanced. A good homeopath -- and careful attention to diet and lifestyle -- ought to help preserve what renal function remains; but homeopathy can't reverse the pathological changes your kidneys have suffered.
Good luck to you.
Peace,
Dale
