Hi Vera,
Interesting for me is that at the moment I am looking at Pulsatilla
which is also in this family. And I did pick up in the case I
recently posted a sense of being easily insulted, but trying to hide
it.
Sankaran places Hydrastis in the leprosy miasm - and talks about
feelings of disgust - the leper is isolated from others and isolates
himself.
I can't remember where but I've also seen it placed in the Cancer
miasm. I used it for a case where the presenting symptoms were an
irritable bowel picture following overseas travel, and there was such
a good response the partner asked for 'whatever she's on please"
As well as repping well it fitted Jill Turland's description in her
book "Getting Back on Track" The chapter heading for it is "Im
guilty." or "I'm responsible, I'll carry you". She talks of feelings
that 'it was my own fault' and 'I have to fix it', Guilt over things
done or not done that led to someone else being disadvantaged, maimed
or killed. In this case there were issues around infertility with
guilt around a miscarriage. The over responsibility could be a
compensation for feelings of humiliation.
