OT: Mercury lights

for those interested, mike adams of news target is promoting
an led bulb that he claims will last 50,000 hours (ten yrs)
without the mercury or other side effects of flourescent bulbs.
i would be interested in what others think about these bulbs.
btw, you can add chlorine to the list of toxic waste being
used as health additives.
