Irene:
Your post perked my interest. I lost a dog to pyo. last year, but
if I had known the signs, I believe I could have saved her with
homeopathy. Since then I swore that I would be prepared and make
sure that none of my other animals would be lost this way.
Fast forward to this year -- I thought I saw the signs in one of my
other dogs, but this time I had made sure that I had certain
remedies on hand, just in case. She seemed to start to develop
something, but I was nervous enough to give her a dose of Pyrogenium
200c which I had researched for this eventuality.
The next day there were no further signs and the dog was full of
energy.
Is this the remedy that you used on the cats? I want always to be
prepared for a case of pyo. particularly as the allopathic approach
is so very drastic and often not successful. On another list, when
I recounted my story, I learned of two well known breeders who had
lost very valuable dogs to cases of it. In both cases, it appeared
very suddenly and the dogs were dead within a couple of days --
these were closed pyos.
