fibroids, pregnancy and progesterone

hi all,
a fibroids patient that has been under treatment for about 4 months, returned to me with the happy news that the fibroid has shrunken slightly - 3.2cm from 3.7
I was prescribing sepia alternating with conium
...And that she's pregnant, 6 weeks! All very good as it goes since that was one of her goals.
however she's spotting.
Her allopath gyn. "guessed" that the reason for the spotting was the fibroid and that at this critical time (6 weeks) the fetus/placenta is still "looking" for a place to settle, maybe in the same place as the fibroid. He prescribed progesterin - as he explained- to lower the estrogen level in order to control the bleeding and help the placenta along its way.
I need guidance.
1. Does anyone have view about the progesterin? Safe or not in pregnancy? the Internet is divided in its opinion.
2. anyone's experience or advice in treating fibroids simultaneous to pregancy?
