Tanya commented that the individual has to be assessed for sensitivity, etc.
pointing out that she has taken a remedy for poison ivy and repeated it
numerous times even in high doses without having an adverse effect I would
just like to make clear that I agree - many times an acute is treated with
repeated doses of fairly high potencies. My comment on the repetition was to
Muzemmil Sultan on Carcinosinum where he asked about repetition of
Carcinosinum several times a day in the 200C for 2 weeks, where I felt a
remedy for a chronic should not be administered in that manner - better to
give single dose, a split dose, plussing method or even better go to the LM
s. I gave the example of the overuse of the Arnica to point out that even a
much used remedy in acute cases can be misused and cause unexpected effects
- hate to see what overuse of Carcinosinum might produce!

well, i can add that i have taken high dosage rx for
constitutional as well--carc being one of them. i was
using it daily for about 6 mos. other rx required the
same high potency for effect as well. but i know i am
a tough cookie. but as i was taught: "in each individual
case!" and that is my only point.

I don't think we should comment *at all* on a remedy or dosage without
knowing the circumstances. In this case, for instance: Perhaps the
doses were water doses? Perhaps the person was following a
Ramakrishnan protocol? Perhaps it was a misunderstanding? And for
that matter, perhaps the person was simply trying to "harvest" negative
remarks. We were told nothing about the case, the circumstances, or
the poster.

Another "wrinkle" on this subject -- I've seen people who are very sensitive
to deep chronic remedies where they have to use low potencies very
cautiously, also respond very well to repeated high potency doses in case of
strong true acutes -- trauams, GE, etc....
