Does anyone have experience or information about this remedy? All I
have is a reference to it being used during chemotherapy (why???) and a
very intriguing ReferenceWorks article from Prometheus. I don't find
much more on the web, either. Can anyone give me any more?
Thanks!
Shannon

Hi Shannon
In Africa they use it to detox. I have used it frequently in a D6 for diarrheas and for GI symptoms after food intoxications.

Thanks Marco,
Are there specific indications, or reasons why to choose it instead of
another? Where did you learn about it?

Hi Shannon,
Funny I've just been thinking about this one too. Do a site search
using okou, or okoubaka - there was a bit of talk about it here in
the middle of last year. It sounds like a remedy everyone should have
handy.
Gail.

Hi Shannon,
No I used to give it without thinking associated to the chosen homeopathic remedy in all diarreas due to intolerance of food or poisoning due to food with diarrhea as a symptom. I do not remember who showed me this, I think it was an austrian homeopath.

Marco

Thanks Gail,
How do I do a site search? I tried going to
www.Minutus.org, click on
"Site Map" and click on "search", and also tried clicking Search on the
home page, these both brought up no matches. (And I don't know what I
was searching--archives, or just aritcles??) How do I search the
archives? (Apparently I'm not yet registered on the site, and am
waiting for my "verification" email to arrive. Maybe that will solve
the problem...)
Thanks,
Shannon

Hi Shannon,
The New Materia Medica by Colin Griffith MCH, RSHom carries full
details of this remedy. Just to quote briefly about the keynote effects:
"Encourages the system to deoxify from the effects of chemical
pollution with the net result of relasing the patient from suppression
by external forces. It is also of significance in the treatment of
those who are intolerant or allergic to what and specifically gluten."
Mental and emotional symptoms: there also seems to be a lot of inertia
and lethargy; hopelessness; feeling like giving up; but also bursts of
hyperactivity; restless; agitation; frustration with bursts of anger
and destructive behaviour.
Hope this helps.

This is an interesting remedy. As per the literature - almost all German, it is used in almost any kind of toxicity including nicotine toxicity, food poisoning, chemotherapy toxicity etc.
information is already available on Minutus. Some links - German and English, already given in earlier posts:
