I am writing to you to seek your recommendation with regard to some
of my chronic medical issues.
My problems initially started in New York in Feb 2005 after consuming
an antibiotic for a sore throat before which my only health issue has
been chronic constipation.
The antibiotic triggered some vaginal burning that was initially
treated w/ antifungals for a presumed yeast infection but the burning
persisted. Later I tested severly allergic to Candida through a skin
prick test.
I have pursued homeopathic care w/ some indian doctors including
ramakrishnan, farokh master, praful vijaykar and sanjay sehgal in
delhi for almost 1.5 yrs.
The remedies I have tried include:
Pulsatilla - under Ramakrishnan
Carcinocin, sulphur - under farokh Master
Arsenic album, china, nux vomica, sepia alumina - Under PVijaykar
Sanjay Sehagl - Lachesis
My symptoms were fairly severe w/ horrible vaginal burning and
discharge and none of the homeopaths in India asked me to follow any
candida diet which probabaly exacerbated my symptoms. I have severe
reactions to vinegar, sugar, beer wine etc fruit included.
I pursued Dr Praful Vijaykar for about 6 months but during that phase
I developed chronic urticara in addition to the vaginal symptoms
which i am not sure was an aggravation with the remedy or a natural
course of my Hypersensitive state.
I wanted to seek opinion on a homeopath that I could turn to after
such a long ordeal. I am willling to travel anywhere in the world for
the same.
The names that I have been considering like Luc Schepper, David
Little, Andre Saine, Rajan Sankaran etc.
Thanks a lot and looking forward to your response.
Puja

Could it be vulval vestibulitus which you could Google for more information. Extreme sensitivity and burning pain might be a feature of this?, Jean

Just try Cantharis in Medium potency, give a try for a week. At which place are you right now ? What about discharges ? Try to check modalities, History .. developments. May be you can find right remedy if you try to see other aspects as well.

				Puja-
Where are you based at? I would suggest to get a local homeopathic
doctor who you can work with for some time... big names automatically
do not mean good care...you would be better off with some one local
with whom you can discuss things -
What was the antibiotic that was used? Since you had a specific
reaction to that and that kind of triggered the whole thing - may be
it needs a specific antidote in homeopathy-
Are you a homeopathic practitioner as well?

				Focus on a balanced diet.
Additioinally, just persistently eat a small raw
carrot (masticating it thoroughly) before retiring to
bed every night.
And observe each and every one of your symptoms slowly
vanish!

Would think if took into account burning pain in the area , constipation, very high achieving, the abandonment of experienced practitioners for whatever reason [not being cured perhaps sufficient but often a lot of sharing needed] Platina might be one of the remedies worth consideration, FWIW,, Jean

				Dear Puja,
Based of what you have mentioned it seems that your problem is due to EBV or HSV infections and we need more info you differntiate between these infectiones. IMO, EBV is more prominent in your symptoms and its main remedies are : ARS. ign. Kali-i. Nat-m. NIT-AC. Nux-v. PHOS. SULPH.
I selected following rubrics:
SKIN - ERUPTIONS - urticaria
FEMALE GENITALIA/SEX - PAIN - burning - Vagina
FEMALE GENITALIA/SEX - LEUKORRHEA - burning
RECTUM - CONSTIPATION
THROAT - PAIN
GENERALS - VIRUSES - EBV
and top remedies are Sulph, Nit-ac, Ars, Phos and as you have tried Ars and Sulph therefore Nit-ac or Phos can be good choice for your problem.
Kind Regards,
Nader

Thank You all for responding to my post.
I am planning on going to meet Luc Schepper for my issues. Have heard
good things about him from a few docs as well as patients. Anyone
with a opinion on that, please let me know.
I am afraid to try remedies on my own w/ o the supervision of an
expert in homeopathy since my urticaria is already a result of an
aggravation by homeo remedies given under Praful Vijaykar.
I don't know if it is possible here on the forum but I will be happy
to share more about my detailed case history (I have a detailed case
history for homeo interviews) with anyone who will be kind enough to
make some suggestions.
Thanks a lot for your help.

				Hi Puja,
Over the past few decades, I'd bet I've treated at least 100 cases like yours. From your description, my evaluation in your case and my advice follows:
Candida albicans is a natural yeast in our bodies, supplied by God at birth to turn our bodies back into plant food after we die. It's regulated by friendly bacteria that die off when we experience somatic death, so the Candida a. is freed to do its job. (This has been thwarted by embalming undertakers who have come to think that preservation of the body after passing of the soul has some benefit). This natural system worked well until one of my boys, a Scotsman named Alexander Fleming developed antibiotics which were a blessing for certain diseases and became allopathic medicines greatest specific. Since about 99.9% of our bacteria are friendly, our bodies have been ravaged over the past 70 years with some pretty bad collateral damage.
Your symptoms are definitely consistent with an overgrowth of Candida a. including the burning vaginitis. The most specific homeopathic remedy for this is Cantharis. However, it would be most helpful if you restore your bowel and urinary-genitalia with a good probiotic treatment. If you like sauerkraut, I would suggest your buy yourself a decent supply of good unpasteurized sauerkraut, eat it at least daily for a week or so (or a good probiotic unpasteurized yogurt if you don't like fermented cabbage). If you prefer probiotic pills, they're ubiquitously available, too.
Meantime, take an adult dose of Cantharis in about a 30th potency, give or take a little potentizing, two to four times a day, quitting when the symptoms improve or aggravate, or should a long period of no relief destroy my hypothesis. Other than nothing happening, you might need to resume dosing a time or four if the symptom improvement pauses or regresses.
We can then deal with the chronic constipation and any other issues if any remain as separate issues. If you follow my advice, you can drop me a line cussing or thanking me as appropriate, then we'll deal with the original complaint if needed.
Then, no more antibiotics for colds. Take some potassium iodide daily if you see patients or are otherwise at risk for upper respirator infection. (That's what most of us practitioners do to keep clear of our patients contagious pathogens). You can bulletproof yourself against most colds with occasional doses of Aconite intermittently with Natrum muriaticum.
I expect this would save you some bucks in air travel and lodging and professional fees. If you prefer, let me know, and I'd be glad to see you in my practice about 100 miles north of Los Angeles. Satisfactory results always guaranteed (Bakersfield is a tough town to make promises you don't keep). I'm handsome, brilliant, single and modest, with way too much experience for my youthful appearance (gray hair and white beard the only giveaways). So feel free to venture forth if you want the personal care. Otherwise, see if this doesn't put you back in fine fettle.
Very best wishes and happy holidays,
Dr. H. Thomas Cotter
