Parkinson

I'm a student of homoeopathy and a friend recently had sought my help
on the above.
I know that parkinson is a very difficult disease to cure and it is
best to be treated by a qualified homoeopath. But there's none to be
found where I lived. One has gone out of business for lack of
business. Another don't really practise homoeopathy as she herself
admitted. She uses only polycrest and thus was able to help relieve a
lot of symptoms of her patients. She could not cope with such a
complex case. The first homoeopath I mentioned also use the same
approach. Homoeopathy is not widely known or practised here in Malaysia.
So I try to help as best that I could and I had recommended a number
of free and paid online homoeopaths to her. Since I'm a student I
would also like to learn to handle such cases and here are what I had
recommended.
I read from the "Illustrated guide to the Homoeopathic treatment" by
Dr. HS Khaneja that the generalised treatment of parkinson is as follows :
Gelsemium 30C 3x a day. When symptom is seen to reduce, start to up
potency and reduce frequency until symptom is well managed...I thought
perhaps up to 10M once a month would be a good frequency.
I had put the person on the above for 2 weeks. The person continues on
the allopathic medicine. There's no noticeable reduction in symptom
after 1 week mainly because allopatic medicine continues to be taken
so any effect would not be noticeable.
Passiflora Q, 40 drops given 3x a day. This seem to help him sleep better.
For his cough at night I had used Cactus 30C and this seem to help a
lot. His cough can be very violent and painful and can last for hours.
Cactus 30C is working well.
Shuffling gait is present. Had dreams and nightmare probably due to
the allopathic medicine(one of the side-effects). It seems that before
the onset of the condition dreams and nightmare were not present.
My question is this ? Will Nat Phos 6x, tissue salt that is known to
support the functioning of nerves, brain cells and muscles be useful
as a supplement ?
Since the shuffling gait is present will Stramonium 30C be a better
alternative to Gelsemium 30C in this case ?
Muscle stiffness is also present. Will Rhus Tox 30c or perhaps higher
potency at infrequent doses help ?
I know this sounds like prescribing for symptoms rather than totality
of symptoms but I'm afraid I don't have enough skill yet to use the
repertory. So I use the therapeutic approach for now and I had checked
the materia medicina for stramonium (Boericke) which suggested that
this is a good remedy for parkinson. I found it interesting that
stramonium also has hallucination which the patient now is
experiencing as a result of taking the allopathic medicine. Could the
allopathic medicine at homoeopathic dilution actually works better ?
Any help or pointer is very much appreciated. Will the above strategy
have a good chance of working ? Is there another approach that could
be used - at least in the short -term until they could find a
competent homoeopath on the internet.
All responsibilities are entirely mine to bear.
TIA
