Dear List member,
If you use homeopathic prevention of INFLUENZA - I will be very grateful to you, if you kindly would let me know:
1. What is your prevention protocol ?
2. Which Strain of Influenzinum exactly is used (there are many strains icluding the expected strains("updated") - which one? and Who is its manufacturer?)?
3.Which potency is used?
4. Which frequency is advised for:
(a) long term prevention during winter ?
(b) periods of High risk, like when you are in close contact with flu sufferers in your home?
Many thanks for your kind reply.
Best regards.

Hi Rafy,

Here's an old post I saved. This is from Tam, and another time Julian
Winston had posted a similar thing regarding Influenzinum 200, that his
own homeopath had used for many years and been very happy with. There
was some discussion (rats, I guess I didn't save it) regarding whether
Influenzinum would be the right "strain" of flu for the year.
Apparently some pharmacies do make it anew each year, but Julian's h'th
did not bother with that, and observed that we are after "similar"
rather than idem, and any version of it seemed to work well.

For many years I have used prophylactic treatment against flu with
success.
Basically I use Influensum 200C - three doses at one per day at the
start of
the season and them one per month. If I know the type of flu expected
I have
also added some other remedies to cover the leading symptoms. It is
not clear
to me if this helps the prophylactic or not.

Neither is classical homoeopathy (I normally treat quite classically),
but it
has help a large number of my clients and they come back each year for
more.

My experience with influenzinum over several years also indicates that the year in which the remedy was made makes no difference one way or the other to the remedy's effectiveness. Of course, the homeopathic pharmacies are perfectly fine with the idea that it does make a difference, as it would make for the actual vaccine.

Dear Shannon and Rosemary,
Many thanks for your replies.
If there were any other replies - please let me know, as I am not sure if I am receiving all the posts.
I also got a private email - also from a good homeopath that informs me that indeed the year in which the remedy was made makes no difference one way or the other to the remedy's effectiveness and he too uses 1 dose of it (200c) in the fall (only one dose for the whole season); elderly people and sick people - get a second dose in Jan/Feb of the same winter.
Best regards.
