British Homeopathy Backlash

Testimonies and anecdotes are not scientific evidence. The Queen of
England's having a homeopathic physician certainly hasn't helped nor
futhered the cause of homeopathy in the UK has it? Aren't the
British trying to close homeopathic hospitals and diminish the
standing if not make homeopathy illegal? Maybe the British secretly
blame homeopathy for the Royal family's longevity.
As for homeopathic malpractice cases, here are 11:

malpractice/homeopaths_and_medical_malpractice.htm
one it seems of an allopath using homeopathy as a reason for their
malpractice:

The sites that you have provided do not prove your point.
The first gives a number of malpractice cases - but does not give the
reasons.
The second concentrates on a mis-diagnosis. This has nothing to do with
homoeopathy.
You have not established that homoeopathic remedies are harmful.
Every time homoeopathy is attached in UK, the number of patients increases.
The public know where the truth lies.

I fear it is set up only for Brits, according to the info you need to give. Houses here in the USA don’t generally have names, unless you are really rich, maybe… Hope others can sign cause I did; there was no way to ask that my info not be used. Bummer! J Teresa (Northern VA, USA)

According to BBC news last week, Britain has just lost 20% of their homeopathic clinics.

That's what you may hear in Speaker's Corner, opinions, but facts and reality show otherwise.

What do you mean by "just lost"--did they mention time frame and/or
reason?

The point was not to prove homeopathic remedies to be harmful.
The point was that homeopathy, whether harmful or beneficial, is not backed by scientific evidence. Our use and discussions of homeopathy is based largely on recorded experiences and anecdotal evidence.
Therefore we should not limit our discussion of microwaved food or any other topic simply because we don't have scientific evidence. Most of what we know about all sorts of health dangers and remedies is not based on scientific evidence, but anecdotal or correlational data.

Dear Helen
Pls define 'Scientific'.
I limited the discussion of Microwaves as there is a lot of stuff going around on purely hearsay. Hence I called for evidence and none has been supplied.
If someone comes up with proof that microwave cooking causes a health hazard, then OF COURSE it should be discussed as it becomes a MAINTAINING or INITIATING cause of sickness. But until then, we must wait.

There is no evidence that the People's demands for homoeopathy has gone down in fact the reverse is true if you look at Homoeopathic remedy sales.
PCT's in UK are very reluctant to fund homoeopathic treatment - not looking at how the patients feel after they have been treated but by listening to those who are anti Homoeopathy. These are the followers of the same guys who refused to enter in to their reports to Parliament the success rate of the London Homoeopathic hospitals during the Cholera epidemic in the late 19th century. When challenged as to why they had not reported the high success rate of Homoeopathic hospitals compared to the others, the reply had come that it was because Homoeopathy was not scientific.
One definition of science that I would use would be:
'Science is a systematic study and knowledge of natural or physical phenomena of observed material facts, skills and techniques.'
If something is shown to work - but we do not understand how it works, that does not make mean that it cannot work. The evidence is there for all to be seen. However, apart from the cases of epidemics (where even Dr Ben Goldacre admitted that Homoeopathy works) homoeopathy is an 'individualised' medicine and when tested by the rules for General / allopathic medicine, it does not shine.
