I have been researching fungus, fungi . pH is very important you can use a very acetic solution to eliminate fungus like on your nails, you would have to soak in it or wet your nail.

I have found that mine, only on one big toe and not very advanced, has completely cleared since I have been wearing open sandals (even in winter with socks when practicable) most of the time. I tried the vinegar soak for a while to no avail—but I was not very thorough about it. Teresa (Northern VA)

I've had mine over 2 years and have given up on them!! Tea tree oil brings me out in an itchy rash so that is out!! I can't see me sitting soaking my feet but am prepared every morning to file the surface and put something on. I haven't worn socks except with trainers for the gym for months

Rochelle , you will have to be dedicated if you use a vinegar type method, or it would not fix this condition very fast. So you should know I would not use vinegar because of the smell I would use use something that is acidic like lemon juice, or grapefruit juice.

I would not use a file on my toe nail with fungus, and using a very acidic solution will not fix this problem right away. By filing your toe nail you are releasing spores of fungus.

It's true that pH is important for *optimal* fungal growth - but it is
also true that fungi continue to grow in a wide range of pH, so that
adding acid may actually encourage the specific fungus. Not only that

carbohydrates eaten simply turn to glucose - it's what the body is
supposed to do with them. The fungi just love it.

I suggest:
So an anti-fungal diet has meat, fish, egg, brewer's yeast, green leaf
vegetables, mushrooms, peppers, asparagus, artichoke, extra virgin olive
oil, fish oil (or krill oil if fish oil disagrees, lots of condiment
spices and herbs (not salted) and a little rice bran and nori. (The last
two are to ensure fiber for gut bacteria and trace minerals
respectively. Use fresh raw nuts and seeds for snacks. Skip what's not
listed.

A homeopathic treatment for toenail fungus cure or remedy can in fact be effective for many people suffering the embarrassment of nail fungus. Vinegar has been used with success in treating a variety of ailments including toe nail fungus. The idea is basically the same which is to make the living area of the fungus uninhabitable by changing the Ph balance. Although not a scientifically proven method, using vinegar does have a much larger group of people claiming successful cure of their toenail fungus.

There are some home remedies that offer a measure of hope and actually have attained some success. That is, if you believe the number of testimonials for some of these "cures." Home treatment remedies like odorless iodine, vinegar and tea tree oil have a much larger following. These products are claimed by many to have helped with their nail infection than the rest of the treatment solutions offered.

Only you can decide what therapies from the homeopathic or home remedy world you want to try. Remember however that re-infection is a concern.

I think I would use lemon, lemon has a pH, of 2.2, and would not smell that bad.
Vinegar has a pH of 2.4 both products are acetic.

Properties of Vinegar - pH of Vinegar

The term "pH" is derived from "potential hydrogen" and refers to the amount of hydrogen ions present in solution.
Mathematically, pH is equal to the negative logarithm (base 10) of the hydrogen ion concentration in moles per liter, so if the pH of a solution decreases by 1 pH unit then its hydrogen ion concentration increases by ten times.
Pure water has a pH of 7 and is neutral whereas anything with a pH less than 7 is acidic and anything with a pH greater than 7 is basic.

The pH of vinegar depends upon how much acid is present, but most commercial distilled white vinegars contain 5% acetic acid and have a pH of about 2.4.

I reckon I do most of that!! I don't do sugar as I am pre diabetic and
count my carbs. My blood sugar always goes up after meals and that is normal
in everyone. At least my fasting blood sugar is now normal which it
certainly wasn't a few weeks ago!!
