Patient?s name is Imtiaz Ahmad, resident of suburbs of
Gujrat. He was registered at my clinic case # 2816.

Was previously prescribed:
Tub.1M., Lyc.30 & 1M., Iod. 1M., Sul. 30 & 1M., Puls.
30., Nit-Ac. 1M.,
Sil. 1M., Thuj. 1M., Rhus-t. 200., Alum 30.
Natr-p., & Natr-s., was also used as drainage
remedy.

Partial changes were observed by the patient but
nothing significant happened.
Please wait for the full analysis of the case and the
outcome.
Curiosity begets rewards. :)
My analysis of the patient and the provided
symptoms.

Age 38 years, married Father of three children, medium
height and built, healthy looking.
Past History:
For three years use to masturbate while living away
from home.
Sexual urgings are a natural thing and what you do
to satisfy those is a personal matter. Moreover he was
not a habitual masturbator rather an occasional to
satisfy his strong urges.

Headache started in 1990 when in UAE after a meal
containing flatulent food causing flatulent
distention, vomiting.
This is how the disease started, he thinks it was
due to that food but during the case taking he never
mentioned it again except for a passing reference so
nothing significant.

Constipation since childhood.
Constipation Chronic
Use to eat clay and charcoal when a child and the
stool used to be of black color. Have at least passed
worms once. Stool used to be knotty, small ball
shaped, without urging for days. Takes allopathic
medicine on regular basis for constipation.
Stool was black due to the color of charcoal, and
not due to any other reason such as intestinal
hemorrhage. Obviously when a child is eating clay /
dirt he ingests ova of worms. The type of stool is
also significant of the constipated children who are
bottle feed and are eating clay and charcoal.
Allopathic medicines caused more dryness to the colon
and rectum.

Parent?s history:
Father dead had tuberculosis. Made me consider
Tabes Mesenteric.

Mother still alive and well.
Present symptoms:
Headache comes on almost on weekly basis that is after
every seven days often appears a day earlier than a
week. Knows headache will be coming on such and such
day.
Headache showing periodicity of six days which was
not available as a rubric so I will consider the
rubric
Head Pain-periodic.

Headache begins after flatulency starting from nape of
neck extending forwards to the forehead and centering
on the left eyebrow.
Flatulency in general can be the rubric to be taken
but in the absence of the type of headache I will not
bother with the extension part of the headache rather
will take the rubrics
Head Pain-constipated, while
Head Pain-forehead above left eye.

Before headache:
Starts taking tablets to remove constipation
Heaviness of the abdomen
Dullness of mind.
Pain, aching whole body.
Flatulency.
Vomiting of food and mucous. Not ameliorating.
Due to constipation.

Frequent urging for stools. No ameliorating.
Due to the use of allopathic drugs.
During headache:
Sour eructations.
Forceful retching.
No more space for food to move forward so it will
cause these symptoms.

Strong aversion to drink anything.
Can be due to the fullness of the stomach and the
digestive track upto the rectum yet I will take the
rubric as it shows a strong aversion.
Stomach Aversion to drinks.

Desire strong for coitus. (probably full rectum
irritating prostates to cause erections. )
Reason has already been given so not
significant.

Strong desire for salted things.
Desire for salt and salted things is not in general
so it could be the popular thought at the back of it.
To reduce nausea, sour eructation, retching and
vomiting.

Desires to sleep yet can not, though better after
sleep.
This symptom we will consider later.
One year ago, had an accident in a car, head injury,
lost a lot of blood, left upper limb multiple compound
fractures, broken bones were repaired through surgery.
Has developed cicatrices on the wounded spots,
elevated, hard, nodulated and painful to pressure.
For loss of blood I think chin was prescribed,
fractures operated and unified but the cicatrices on
the wounded spots for which probably Sil. And Thuj.
Were prescribed about some 10 months ago, and
according to patient the situation has worsened than
that of getting any better. I have not seen the
cicatrices after the injury so either I will have to
depend upon statement of the patient or consider the
general rubric. I will take the rubric
Skin Cicatrices-become painful.

Mind.
Except irritability nothing special.
Mild temperament.
Nothing significant.

So the symptoms to be considered were:

Head Pain-periodic
Head Pain-constipated, while
Head Pain-forehead above left eye

Rectum Constipation

Stomach Aversion to drinks

Skin Cicatrices-become painful.

All the symptoms are taken from Kent repertory
section. Using the C A R A repertory program, the
remedy stood forward was Lach. other remedies
that stood close to Lach. Were Nux-vom., Puls., Ign.,
non having anything to do with Cicatrices, only other
remedy that had Cicatrices become painful did not have
the other two major symptoms namely headache while
constipated and Aversion to drinks.
But the Lach. Sleeps into agg. And not amel. After
sleep esp. headaches. I was struck. But the general
rubric
Sleep-after > made me decide in favour of Lach.
So I decided to prescribe Lach 200.

I gave the patient Hydrastis 6 tds as Liver Drainage
remedy to start with instructions to stop as the
symptoms would start to appear and a single dose of
Lach 200 at the appearance of the symptoms with sac
lac for 5 days.

It worked like a wonder symptoms appeared but were
very mild in severity. Painful cicatrices were
soothed. No retching and vomiting occurred. Headache
was mild and symptoms ceased after the stool. Next
periodic appearance of symptoms was also milder in
nature. Patient started passing stool after every
three days. So far, no other remedy is prescribed
except sac lac to keep the patient satisfied while
patient is getting better.

This case shows that the case though not properly
taken due to the short comings of a busy clinic as had
no Strong mental was decided on physical symptoms and
an odd aversion to drinks that is considered as a
second highest ranking symptom to mental and of course
the totality of symptoms after weighing all the
represented symptoms could add to the glory of the
Homeopathy.

I would appreciate any comments, questions or critics
on this case open heartedly so feel free to shoot.

Question.
Isn?t this a case showing the totality of
symptoms?
Isn?t this a case showing the power of single dose?
Isn?t this a case showing the power of single remedy?

Curiosity begets rewards. :)

For preserving patient confidentiality, please NEVER disclose info which
would identify the patient.

This case and the January case gave sufficient info to identify the patient.

We must avoid this.
