Molluscum Contagium

I am seeing a spate of this problem (UK) and whereas in the past the Molluscum popped and cleared within a few days of a suitable constitutional remedy being given I am finding now that they are going away far more slowly. I am beginning to wonder if it is me not coming up with the correct Rx or they really are becoming more resistant. I would love to hear about others experiences with this problem, including posology and any specifics. I have to say I haven't come up with a specific as I treat according to the individual child in front of me. Last week I had a child in who is age 2 and has had the problem for 18 months - that's the youngest I have had in. I think the oldest has been about 8 yrs old. It seems equally distributed between the sexes.
GP's are usually not interested although I have heard of one who prescribed steroid cream and others who have told Mum to stick a sterilised needle in each one and pop out the contents. I had one Mum who squeezed her children's and scarring resulted!!
I look forward to a discussion on this.

Dear Pauline,
So you like me have been have been prescribing constitutionally. Have you seen any changes in your success rate? What posology do you use?

Dear Rochelle,

Increasing use of steroids including creams is one reason for homeopathy to work slowly. Often the patient does not remember that she has used a steroid. In such case I have excellent results with the constitutional remedy AFTER 7 to 10 days mornind dose of ACTH 6 C water potency.
Regards.

Hi Rochelle - the frequency of dosing depends on susceptibility of child - One of the Silicas was Silica 30 for 3 days - the pocks burst and were gone within a week. Her sister was Silica 200 roughly every 3rd day - but she had major emotional hassles being bullied at school and the Silica was working on emotional level really well (the every 3rd day was picked by return of symptoms on the emotional level. After about 1 1/2 weeks she resolved the problem at school and the molluscum started to disappear about 2 days later and she only needed Silica again about 1 mth later when she began to feel bullied and not coping with it again. She was also in the middle of a big growth spurt so her overall health was taxed by the energy requirements of growth and the pickiness of her eating (such a Silica trait).
The Med case was same as Liz uses - 1 x week tho think it only took 2 doses.
I'd have to dig much further to find older cases and dont have time at present so hope this helps.
I remeber tho that the Calc carb cases took very few doses (roughly weekly) to do the job if not from one dose - but the calc was easy to pick in most cases as it was their constitution and almost stamped on their heads in a couple of cases I recall.

I am not a professional homeopath, but have very successfully
treated my son's molloscum with thuja. Within a matter of weeks, it
was gone.

Were you using Thuja pillules, if so what potency and for how long? Or were
you using Thuja tincture externally.

Dear Pauline,
Thanks for that.
Sounds to me as if I am too conservative in my prescribing of dosing monthly!!!
