Has anyone had any experience with using Badiaga in a case where Rhus
tox isn't working well? I have a case who is on an LM series of Rhus
tox, but every time she takes a dose she experiences an upwelling of
emotional discharge (i.e. she cries her eyes out for a day straight).
Personally, I think she probably needs to go through that emotional
release process, but she's avoiding taking the remedy because of it.
Since Badiaga is so similar to her symptom picture, do you think it's
worth trying with her? I'm looking for a remedy to work that won't
give her such a strong emotional aggravation. And I've already
adjusted the dose downward with the Rhus tox, and it doesn't seem to
make a difference as far as the reaction is concerned.

I'm just a student, but here is my two cents.

I used Bad for a case with hay fever, gout, sleep apnea and general weakness. Also, a feeling of impotence. He was also sexually impotent but the feeling was extended to social situations. For example, as an only child, the pace of work (he's Japanese) was too much for him. He felt hurried beyond his limits all the time. Bad came to mind because of the description given by Mangialavorie (Sea Remedy lectures). The patient is sort of emotionally primitive or immature. For example, blind following of others. Socially mild. Not a sophisticated type. They are more sophisticated than spongia. The spouse is weak and really undermining them, but they like to associate with someone who is weaker than they are. He described his wife as a pet. Very dependent on the homeopath yet not at all interested in homeopathy when it was working. Didn't seem to comprehend "principles" or natural laws. The gout did not get cured but I only could work with him for 6 months. The hay fever and general weakness were cured. (this was 2 years ago and the cure held.) The sleep apnea improved but not totally cured.

My feeling is Rhus Tox is a much more emotionally pent up person. Not crying her eyes out. Instead trying to work out the anxiety etc with physical movement. The Rhus Tox that I know would be extremely upset if the remedy made him cry.
