An interesting occurrence, but I draw a blank in trying to see how
homeopathic knowledge applies to the situation! Why would it? Each
baby got a selection from the genes of each parent; to have an extreme
(e.g. very light child of dark parents) is unusual but far from unheard
of; to have the two extremes born as twins--well, I would not have
thought one-in-a-million, but perhaps it's so. Still, I don't know
where homeopathic knowledge comes into play--can anyone put me out of
my misery???

relevant if you look at constitutional types. There's nothing surprising
there either - different siblings, different constitutional types - same
as if the two siblings were different ages.
Even genetically identical twins can be different constitutional types -
(though they would be similar skin colors.)

Someone is making a big deal out of something that is normal:-)

the thing that concerned me was the characterization of the
kids behavior in link with the color. in the usa, that begins
to reek of some old racial stereotypes/or is it gender stereotypes!
i would be really careful on that one.

ALL kids have different personalities, it's part of their constitutional
type Did you want them both to have the SAME personality?
In whose imagination? Seems to me some people go overboard *looking* for
places to interpret as race-sensitive or gender-sensitive or
something-sensitive where is no cause for it.

well, judging from posts over the past few yrs, i
think i can say that i live in a world that looks very
different from most of the writers on this list. and
i will raise questions of bias and bigotry when i see them.
in this case it strikes me that the personality characteristics
are in link with their color and i have to question that. i
need to wonder why others pretend to be so color blind in a
world that is anything but. so again, i raise this question.
why aren't different words used to describe these infants? why
isnt the white baby considered lazy or the dark baby considered
inquisitive? wouldn't those words equally describe their
behavior? i just get tired of the same old cliches related to
race/color and people who should be more observant not wanting
to see.
i have said my piece/peace and i am done with this one.

So if you read something LOOKING for bigotry etc every time you see the

indeed the bigotry can be imagined and is actually only in the eyes of
the beholder as was the case here.
If you look for good, you'll find it instead:-)

When there is true bigotry - it will stick you in the eye without your
looking for it - when you just read non-judgementally with no triggers
