Well, IMO more about "maintaining cause" than truly OT...
Today's AlterNet mailing includes this:

AlterNet doesn't include a link, and Googling has just given me lots of
dead ends. Does anyone here know how one goes about making that
"public comment"?

the fda does a good job of hiding. i had difficulty finding
the public comment section but it was there. natural solutions
foundation, which works on the codex issues, has reported thousands
of comments reported not received by them. i would send you the link
but my computor wont open the internet now.
keep the faith and keep searching.
