Viruses may replicate in large numbers in a cell, so bursting it as

of virions in the nucleus which become "inclusions" - or their use of
host protein may be part of a strategy to do other host damage. Another
strategy is gene recombination - where some of the host's DNA is
combined with some of the virus DNA to make a new version of genetic
code to do some damage or other that is part of the virus strategy.
(Example one common clade of the feline leukaemia virus recombines with
feline host DNA to make a new "recombined" DNA that causes lymphoma in
addition to leukaemia in the affected cat.)
Each virus has a specific strategy both for damage and replication -
but NO virus can replicate at all, unaided - ALL of them need a host
cell to help it in some way - if not to provide RNA or DNA, then to
provide enzymes or other necessary components to the reactions they use.
Example:
Adenoviruses code for their own DNA polymerase, but they use host
factors in addition to viral proteins for DNA replication, and they use
host RNA polymerase and RNA modification systems and so nucleic acid
synthesis needs to be in the nucleus of the host cell, despite the fact
that it is a DNA virus.
None that I can think of. I think that as an energy system, it's the
consequences of virus action - not the mechanism - that determines what
the homeopathic remedy will do.
