What rubric(s) might apply to someone with a very sensitive "gag
reflex"? He's had problems over the years with e.g. dental x-rays and
other dental work, and at present he's trying unsuccessfully to get
used to dentures--they make him gag! Any ideas re rubrics?

can't think of a rubric quickly, but have had patients needing lyc. who have had this problem

Apparently his gagging is more than the usual; the dentist has
re-fitted it several times already, and *possibly* the problem has to
do with something in the adhesive, but switching that hasn't helped so
far.

You say, "include ars under gagging"--what rubric were you looking at?

would you say this is true for pill swallowing only.
i have come across this several times where people cannot
swallow pills or vitamins.

Thanks, this is puzzling.
The closest I can find in MacRep are throat throat ones referring
specifically and only to gagging on food, and some stomach ones under
"retching, gagging" (apparently the equivalent one to the rubric you
used--tho it's 269 remedies (and ars is there as a 2)! But "retching"
seems to me very different from what he's talking about, so now I
wonder whether I'm looking for the wrong word entirely. Looking under
"throat, spasm", or "constriction", etc., hasn't produced anything
useful either, tho. Well, another red herring, I guess...
