thanks rochelle
they are 2 of the remedies to which he has responded previously for other symptoms.
Would you have a reference for which rep. mentions them in the 'flying fear' context?
thanks

Hi Beverly,
You might want to consider
- physical sxs attending the fear (trembling? frequent stools? dry
mouth, w. or w.out thirst?)
- where on spectrum between discomfort/anxiety and paralysing terror?
- modalities
- onset - ie is there an element of anticipation or not
- what's underlying the fear? (e.g. control? prob w small, enclosed
spaces? superstition?)
- mind sxs - e.g. s.o. I know w massive fear of flying, SRP 'gallows
humour', cracks very black jokes non-stop
Having said that, the Rx that most often seems to fit (inc all relevant
modalities) where I have been asked for help, to date has been Arg-n.
Also, Rescue Remedy is a great standby for in-flight crises (is actually
now available as sugar dragees to get around the 'no liquids' policy)
Hope this helps.

I am currently seeing a girl who first came to me with a pronounced fear of flying. Onset was some years ago after watching a news story about a plane crash. Now concerned that a plane she may be on would fall out of the sky. Total refusal to accompany family on a holiday in the near future because it involves a plane trip.
First appointment, prescribed Calc-c for the presenting symptoms. At follow up appointment, she was in such a strong Lycopodium state - extremely rude to mother - complaints from teachers about her rudeness and uncooperativeness at school - had never been like this before. There had been a softening of anxiety on first beginning calc but was now defiantly and insolently refusing to go on the plane trip.
Prescribed Lycopodium, as you have Rosemary, and after a strong aggravation mother now tells me that her behaviour is much better. Though still nervous, she is now discussing ways and means of managing the plane trip. Interesting response in the light of the relationship calc has with Lyc.

This is interesting.
The patient to whom I was referring has responded to lyc. previously for some things but of late it has not been helpful in any potency we have tried.
Have actually prescribed acon. for all the present symptoms as well as doing some NLP/guided imagery techniques and he was quite happy yesterday after consultation about going on the plane- has an imaginary plane and airline of his own of which he is now the captain and will use the acon. if needed.
I am so glad that we have a variety of 'tools' available to us to use in varied ways to benefit people

With the child I had last week he had been like this since 9/11 and it is the standing in a queue which is the problem not once he is in the plane!! Using EFT we went through standing in a queue, for the ticket, and the security checks. I told him that he had his own ticket (agreed with Mum that this wasn't a problem) and therefore he was in control as he kept saying that he didn't feel he was in control. The test comes in July when the family have booked a holiday abroad. According to him after the EFT his anxiety levels went from 10 to 1. I also gave him Stram 30 as it fit the case and Bach Flower Remedy mixture of Mimulus, Aspen and White Chestnut.
