This patient was told the cause may be because of menstruation. I believe she is taking iron tablets prescribed by her doctor. I wouldn't want to give Ferr Phos except maybe as a Tissue salt as there are so many other things to deal with in this patient that are more important.

Also now even in India allopaths are beginning to advise iron only as a last resort and that too with folic acid, after all other methods (diet, alternative systems) fail. While a toxic dose of elemental iron is 30 mg/kg, and a fatal dose is typically more than 250 mg/kg, ingestion of doses as low as 60 mg/kg have resulted in death.
