Not to rekindle the fires; LONG

Thanks Shannon for raising a good question-
To remind you-
Sheri slammed me because I did a lot of dry dosing, did not follow 6th
edition or water doses etc; supported combinations etc.etc.
, and is now
One thing we do not get is- it is one thing researching /dabbling with
something, another thing supporting it as main stream and recommended
methodology-
I support combos ( I did in my general practice) and always will- if
not done as classical homeopathy- if not portrayed as THE Homeopathy-
I do not have qualms about it if used by practitioners - if people
can do EFT, Reiki, Acupuncture etc. WITH homeopathy why not
combinations...
I DO NOT oppose Sankaran / Scholten kind of practice - if it is done
by experienced practitioners AFTER the search of a remedy using
provings ( clinical / pathogenetic) is exhausted - because it is still
a research method based on extreme generalization and not
individualization... and homeopathy is about individualization - The
problem with this as against even combos is - this is now considered
mainstream - this is considered classical homeopathy, this is being
marketed as an elevated version of practice and a lot of people have
started using it as the first , recommended approach- somehow it is
hip to be doing this as against the dreary work of poring over materia
medicas..
Being born from the wisdom of modern gurus, it has the capacity to
change and is changing practice from a scientific approach to a
loosey-goosey approach of remedy selection. Does anyone including the
masters talk about when these methods should be used? Is that how they
are used? How do you know you have exhausted the regular approaches
before taking up an experimental / research approach? What do you do
when failures happen with this methods / remedies? I submit that there
is more abuse potential in this than the regular methods ...
This is what I said as changing the theoretical basis of homeopathy...
no proving is needed, not even a physical examination is needed, no
physical symptoms need to be accounted for ( mostly), if the patient
feels like prostituting give him Lac.can kind of practice pearls-
combination people never claimed that they are doing what Hahnemann
suggested, they did not claim that they are superior to regular
homeopathy - are there seminars for combination remedy practice???
Instead what we see in the homeo seminar circuit is introducing new
theories ( where none is needed), introducing new remedies based on
questionable theories ( where none is needed), and creating a
following ( Piet would feel insulted, but still)as if this is how
homeopathy should grow and expand...
And other masters get into the same band-wagon - not to miss out on
the halo effect and glory of being pioneers, or just for the sake of
"you scratch mine and I will scratch yours" attitude because they
have their own theories to sell and they do not want other gurus to
oppose and question it....in this cozy little world of Gurudom...so
that they can cross-sell items in seminars- this is not classical
homeopathy but Classical Marketing principle...
it takes my breath away just to see all of this being done under the
guise of improving homeopathy- when already we are being branded as
quacks and practice privileges removed from us in various countries-
What we need is more rigor in finding the remedy, more repeatability
in the process, more rationale in remedy selection and management of
the case- and less of gazing the crystal ball mounted on the periodic
table with mind clouded with delusions and synchronic symbolism...
If these Gurus have progress of homeopathy at heart let them band
together and find out how to control such proliferation and validate
things before letting them into the main stream-
This whole discussion started off because a student got confused of
this array of approaches- if we cannot standarize the process by
which these approaches mushroom- we are in for a really tough time...
Go and read Raue, Jahr, Hering, Erasmus Case, Lilienthal, Dunham and
Lippe to know what homeopathy can really do...before jumping and
losing oneself in the core delusion morass...become good doctors
before being pseudo-chemists, pseudo-philosophers and
pseudo-psychologists, become more left brain before right brain ( or
no brain)
(so
leave
