I'm used to the name calling and only care that I do right by my patients

I am passionate BECAUSE of what I see parents, children and adults go
through with loss of their health and their money and disillusionment and a
sorry name for homeopathy.

I would venture to say that I refer people to more homeopaths than anyone
on this planet because of this work. So I see and know what goes on in the
name of homeopathy and I have had it! I will call a spade a spade.

I'll remind you of the following from one of my May 9 posts, but doubt that
you care from what you write.........
I work with/have worked with thousands of parents of vaccine injured
children and children who have died after vaccines and adults who are
injured by vaccines. With that work comes the need to help them become
aware of the full dangers of vaccinations, what happened to themselves and
their children and where can they go from here.

They soon become aware, once they know they don't want any more vaccines,
that they don't want anything else that allopathy has to offer. So what do
they do then?
I teach them about homeopathy and the incredible system that it is. But
once they learn that, they, of course, want to know a homeopath in their
area. For many, there is no homeopath in their area or state. So I
started teaching online classes in Intro to Homeopathy so they can work
with minor acutes and first aid at home and know the difference between
those and chronic illness and acute flareups of chronic illness.

I started referring to homeopaths on Steve Waldstein's list, as they were
supposed to be classical. At the time I thought they would be the best. I
had studied homeopathy since 1981 and started seeing patients for more than
minor acutes, in January 2003. I first practiced as I was taught (which I
later found out was really 4th edition - as we were taught so little
Organon at school, I didn't know better). I knew about LM"s and had been
cured with LM's but found no support for LM's in my homeopathy program and
so had to work with learning about them on my own. I also soon found the
problems with dry potencies and discovered the possibility of using C's in
water.

As I am learning all of this, I am referring hundreds to homeopaths (and
yes, I mean hundreds) - I have thousands on my email lists and every day
people write to me asking for help as I am so visible out there on this
issue). And as I am referring, I also am getting feedback from those I
have referred and believe me, it is NOT good. People I knew and thought
highly of - people I thought were quality homeopaths - I was getting
stories that were appalling from those I referred in many/most cases. I
felt somewhat responsible as I had referred them.

It doesn't matter how it is presented - people still don't look at 5th and
6th edition. Those that will be offended will be offended. Those that are
open minded and want to know more will ask and pursue it (you only see
those offended on the list - those that are open have written to me privately)

Sheri, I am finding it strange to be writing this as we have had our
disagreements in the past but you have written some seriously good and
concise posts in recent times.

The above is true but again I would say particularly for the minority who
require this preciseness of prescribing. The majority seem to have a greater
range of tolerance for whatever we throw at them (almost). But isn't that
the whole point of Homeopathy - that it is an individualising system of
medicine developed to serve ALL people well, even the minority? Is it
appropriate for us to be, or train others to be, majority only practitioners
when Homoeopathy offers so much more?

To be "true practitioners of the healing art" are we not obliged to adjust
our methods to meet the needs of our patients rather than expecting them to
adapt to our methods - even if it requires more effort an work on our part?
I know there are people who will say that they have no problem at all with
dry prescribing but I cannot believe that. I think it is more likely that
the patients who do have difficulty with it never come back and so are not
factored into the figures. I also think cultural differences produce
different sensitivities.

The items on the poll you prepared also effectively distil some of the
differences we are talking about between the two approaches. When I read the
list I see a system of medicine that can be practiced with finesse and
artistry - a little like two people in a dance - a system where rapid
responses and changes can be made to suit the needs of the situation. In
comparison, methods that have been passed down by some of our teachers seem
crude and heavy-handed with little ability for rapid and flexible
adjustment. The methods work but are like a lumbering mammoth instead of a
darting bird (starting to wax lyrical). I have stated before that it
requires more effort for me to use liquid dosing methods for instance but
look at what I would lose if I took the easier course of dry dosing - no
thanks!

In saying this, I am aware that most of us would probably have little
problem with what is on the list. I think the discussion has forced us into
opposite corners, giving the appearance of big differences. Of course we
have to continue to experiment and explore but WITOUT losing the gains of
the 6th edition and Chronic Diseases. Rather than branching out from 4th ed
practices to solve the problems that still confront us we need to build on
what is known in the 6th edition & CD. We might even be surprised to find
that some of the answers to those problems are already there.

Why do you have problems believing in people who say what their
experiences are? If you have the ability to notice when a
potency /dosage works and change it accordingly, why do you think
others using dry doses do not have that? Do you think when someone
does not come back we do not investigate that or wonder about it? (

mutual trust in postings is developed? Do you mean to say that dry
dosers lie or are not carefully observing physicians or not-so-
conscientious practitioners? I do not like that statement for what
it connotes...

I am sorry if I sounded overly gruff and abrupt- it is just that
hearing it repeatedly that dry dosing is somehow so ham-handed in
handling patients that got me- I agree that may be - just may be- in
your practice you find water doses convenient and truly rewarding-
show others the same courtesy of knowing what they are doing-

There are people who use repertories to find their remedies in all
cases - Irene for one said she does , I do too- whereas Joy probably
can find the remedy without repertory in many instances and only
occasionally uses it- why should one method be better than the other-
they are just different methods-

I think the same goes for potencies - why should it be water doses
or else????
