Dear Collegues,
I would like to tell fellow collegues about a wonderful success using
the philosophy and extreemly well thought out plan to help infertile
couples conceive, by Liz Laylor of Australia,.
It was through this group MINUTUS that I contacted Liz after reading
a posting for a homeopath needed to help a couple whom happened to be
within walking distance of me. This lovely couple turned to the
thought of homeopathy after trying several methods for years with no
success and they wanted to apply Liz's homeopathic method as last
resort. I decided to help this couple and was so amazed...it worked!
The couple is happliy pregnant, and this happened in just 3 months!
The couple had been trying for many years with no success and within
three months of homeopathic care they are looking forward to the birth
of thier first child!
Applying classical methods, the husband was able to not only boost his
sperm count and motility, he completely healed from a lifetime skin
problems. The mother is healthier now than when she first came in to
the office.
There are so many stresses on the couple when going through this
process of trying to conceive, and the job of the homeopath is not
easy, but Liz was there for me, every step of the way.
She is tutoring many homeopaths in Europe and they are doing very well
with her guidance; it is my hope that more US homeopaths will
seriously look at the viability of this method as specific to
infertility.

Is it a special method or just the use of indicated
homeopathic remedies which cure disease conditions?

This topic, which has all the hallmarks of an "advertorial", that has the
potential to be misleading to a lot of people reading it. I know that Liz
has a basic concern to help infertile couples but the approach that she
promotes has to be challenged. Annoyingly, I will not discuss what the
approach is - others can do that.
Infertility is no different to any other condition when being treated by
homeopathy. It is no harder or easier to treat than anything else. The same
old boring homeopathic methods work very well. The vast majority of cases do
not need "special methods".
There is an implication that the standard homeopathic approach is lacking or
ineffective when we talk about "special methods". Special methods in
homeopathy are often developed by those who do not have a solid background
or training in homeopathy - ie, knowledge of all 6th Ed Organon and Chronic
Diseases principles (and I am not just talking about water doses - there is
so much more). To use an analogy, this lack of knowledge can be like trying
to drive a nail into a piece of wood with a screw-driver rather than a
hammer. - it does not work very well. To persist with the screw driver, the
person has to develop special methods to increase its effectiveness when all
they really need to know about is the hammer and how to use it.
Liz would claim that the approach she uses has a high success rate. I would
claim that the standard homeopathic approach that I, and others, use also
has a high success rate - there is no need to introduce a new method for the
majority of infertile couples. So what is the problem - who cares what
approach is used if either way, most infertile couples fall pregnant? Well,
it is very important to care about how things are done and taught for the
ongoing transfer of sound homeopathic practice.
Do we really want really want to produce future generations of homeopaths
who run around using screw drivers rather than hammers because they have
been led to believe that certain nails are very hard to drive into wood but
when screw drivers are used according to special methods, superior results
will be obtained? While it may be easy tolerate poor or unnecessary practice
in one area there is always the risk that that style of practice will become
self-perpetuating and spread across the whole carpentry of homeopathy,
weakening its structure, by those who know no better. Do we also want to
produce generations of homeopaths who, working by systems, methods, or
protocols, struggle if they come across a problem that is not covered by
their rote-learnt method?
This is danger I see when looking at Liz's approach. While I am pleased that
many previously infertile couples now have children, I am also concerned
that the standard homeopathic approach that I have found equally successful
is not promoted as the mainstay of practice in this seemingly special area.
I am also dismayed when homeopaths readily run after this method out of the
need to have a "system" they can replicate, as I have seen in this country.
It would be much better to have thinking homeopaths, ones able to approach
"special methods" in the light of the core principles and philosophy they
already know so that the good of a new practice can be retained and the
rubbish discarded. Invariably, the good bits are usually still the core
principles of homeopathic practice that have been handed down to us from
previous generations - the remainder is gift wrapping and packaging.
