I think Cara is cheap now because they have no intention of doing anymore to it. This also means it won't be Vista compliant which maybe a problem. But if not Cara is a very efficient programme. I used it for years before Isis came along. Go to www.miccant.com for details and prices.

Hompath Vital is quite a nice little program, and Radar do a freeware program based on Kent as well.With mat med from Boericke, Hahnemann, Farrington,Clarke and Kent this seems quite a good bet. There is an UK one using Murphy Repertory – marketed by john jeweski. Miccant are continuing to support Isis Light (though no longer Cara) but at £345.00 it is not that cheap! Macrep’s Dicovery 2 is cheap,(£125) using kent, boenninghasuen, Clarke, allen, boericke and Hahnemann mat meds. It is really only if you want the modern books that you have to pay much, for obvious reasons.

Neither of the two I mentioned are JUNK ones. Mercurius offers flower essences and I just installed homepath. I think the software packages are great learning tools and only assist in your hand rep skills. If you only use them as tools then check the features and do the pros and cons on the price. If you are going to run your practice with a software then I MIGHT reevaluate but for learning as a 2nd year student would be, these two are worth checking out. Kathy
