Not calc carb...

Some dreams I would love thoughts about.

This is the 12-year-old I was musing about calc-c. Today I got chance
to ask him again about dreams, and here's what he said... I think it
was Joy who asked before whether he's violent, and the answer (and my
answer got shuffled into "drafts" :o( ) is not really; he likes to
"play rough" (when he's not up in his room playing Dungeons & Dragons
solitaire) but not more so than common for the age etc., and is
basically considerate, etc. He's bright and personable, but these days
has real problems with sleep (difficult!), energy (low!), focus,
organization, follow-thru etc. "Foods" (Joy also asked about) is a
longer answer, which maybe I can tackle later...

I am (still/again) thinking Med (which has helped him a lot in the
past), tho do not find any dreams even remotely similar for Med in the
rep, and worse, Med is not under "dentition, slow", which is major for
him; yet it does seem consistent with Med's "wants to fight", and
something about the feel (similar to, tho not exactly like, *his*
prior Med states)... ?? OTOH I'm noticing the dreams are not about
"real" violence--it's video game stuff, where no one is actually hurt.
So maybe Tub's seeking of excitement (tho Tub may like to hurt)--maybe
the prior dose just wasn't high enough? It's not that I'm
nosode-obsessed; but these are two from his past, and keep coming back
to my mind...

But in any case I would love to hear thoughts!
Thanks!
Shannon
______________

[What do you dream about?] people killing each other! (smiles)
example? it's like a costume party at school--but there were no stupid
little kids there (he's a big man of 12 :-) ), and they (i.e. the
guys in "costume") were real. i got to kill stuff and blow stuff up,
it was fun.
what did you kill? racoons, squirrels, rabbits--and a few people too.
(?) Just random people. I stabbed 'em. With my claws. everyone had
superpowers. [They had superpowers, yet they could be killed?] Well
not the people from the school...
because there were all these people from school, and bunch of random
people too. [so the ppl from the school were the ones with
superpowers, and they weren't the ones you were trying to kill? you
were trying to kill the random dweebs from outside the school?]
Grins--yeah!
thruowing darts. That confused me...

then this other dream, some weird person came over, had these guns, and
you could shoot people with them, but it didn't hurt and it didn't kill
people. it was fun. [like laser tag?] no, you could get your arm
blown off, but it regernated or something. it was weird, cause I got
blown in half a bunch, and then i got these double shotguns (mimics
two-handed shooting, with a grin). They're (the people who were
"shooting" at him) my friends in the dream, tho I have no idea who they
would be in real life. [So it was like a computer game, where you get
killed or blown to bits, but it doesn't hurt and then you get another
life?] yeah. only you don't get another life, you just kind of
re-form.
Another dream, there was a window here and window here, and if you get
past that one, then a T-rex would come eat you. And when you die
there's this big "Game Over!" sign, and you had to wait at least so
long before you could come back--exactly like a computer game. I knew
I was dreaming, and I tried to kill the T-rex just by thinking about
it, but it still ate me!

Just got time for a few notes

Many emotional sx can be repped either specifically or by rubrics that 'encompass' the themes in question, i.e. the themes that address the wider whole and I think these dreams are no exception - you can either rep them specifically or look for encompassing themes and I think the latter would be more expedient than going the specific route that would bring up dreams of killing; stabbing; fights; battles; murder; being chased (a big one for Medorrhinum); vivid; eaten by animals; pursued by wild animals, windows etc etc as this will bring up so many diverse rx you'd be digging a whole for yourself.

The themes I picked up on are - excitement; escape; killing but also living which is a kind of sympathetic stance because he doesn't really want to hurt or kill; dreaming of what he does through the day (I think the rubric is 'previous events'); a level of superiority as he is sometimes quite powerful in these dreams (I would be asking what his social confidence is like); observing (through the windows and getting a good perspective).

I would also ask how he feels after these dreams (he mentioned being confused - about what I wonder), if he feels good and energised about them then the level of excitement and exhilaration is important to the case but if he is scared then that needs to be included likewise.

As I said, Medorrhinum has a huge delusion about being pursued and loves the nighttime but the dentition is an issue. Another idea is the Magnesiums, big affinity to dentition that is slow and also the emotional centre of the Magnesiums is actually being in the centre - they love to soothe a debacle, are sympathetic to both sides, both passive and aggressive and I bet they rep quite highly with some of the specific dream rubrics as well.

Best I can do for now - probably Mag mur :-)

Shannon,
I found one rubric: sleep, dreams, knives, stabbed his antagonist with
a knife - only one remedy - Nat Carb.

Also, I don't know the details but you may find some similarities with
this case of a boy, age 10, with difficulty falling asleep at night.
Remedy - T-Rex.

While they may be games, I find there is something there with those
who find pleasure in killing - whether via a "game" or real life.

Truly,
Erica

the T-rex just by thinking about it, but it still ate me!

Jean, that sounds like a *very* interesting thought! I'll look at it.
And I recall that its picture can run very close to Tub, tho will have
to see if it has the dentition issues.
Thanks!

Thanks Joy, *great* rubric ideas!!!
Below:
Yeah, that's what I keep seeing, despite all the fascination with
violence.
Ah, that's another "thing" for him...
His social confidence right at this point is not great/ He makes
off-hand remarks to the effect that other kids don't like him--but that
is NOT what I see! He has always been well-liked. (This is my son
again, with all the lack of objectivity that entails...) OTOH he is
even so functioning just fine in social situations--scouts, camps,
classes.

He gets on these "orphan" trips, talks as tho he is so deprived :-D
--BUT at the same time he has always had a strong air of... well,
"superiority" doesn't quite say it, but even from when he was very
little, always projected this air of certainty and self-possession. He
used to talk about "when I used to be a princess", which we all thought
*very* funny, as it would explain such a lot! (That "air", I mean.)
[[[delus forsaken x haughty?]]]

Maybe part of the reason behind these dreams is that he *does* (from
what I see) feel powerful inside, as tho he *should* be slaying all the
dragons and winning all the accolades, and yet "in real life" he is
(these days) pretty non-powerful, with his collapsed energy, lack of
social contacts, lack of access to the things he would probably be
*good* at, as opposed to the "sit still and study, and oh yeah, after
that wash the dishes" that he has such a hard time with (despite being
homeschooled; I just don't have a lot of hunting trips I can send him
on right now!).
I think that was just about what a "freaky little old lady" was doing
in his school/dream! :-)
Yes, he was smiling and animated as he described them!
I haven't seen any of this, tho can't rule it out either...
Interesting--I'll look at that, thanks for the thought!
