Minutus

Hi all,
I've been given a number of medicating potencies in dropper bottles (the ones with the flexible rubber bulb) that have dried up--the remedy liquid, not the rubber bulb.
Could I revive the med pots by adding alcohol to them, or are they worthless?
Also, some of the bottles have very little liquid in them. Could I add alcohol to them and still have a vibrant medicating potency?

are they totally dry? Or is there a rest of liquid?
(that's the reason, why I never take these rubber things)
If totally dry I think you can forget about it.
Otherwise you can use alcohol to fullfil.

Hello Gabriele,
Some are completely, bone dry. More have just a bit of liquid in them.
And I also never use the bulb droppers because I've observed they don't keep the product very well over the long term.

I think, the rubber don't close the bottle totally correct.
I made your experience with some Bach Remedies.
Same problem. Since that time I change die bottles.

I have found that I can use a pendulum to determine if there is any positive energy in a remedy bottle. I've used the technique to determine if remedies have been spoiled or compromised by exposure, etc. or from dried up bottles.

a remedy with strong energy will cause the pendulum to react quickly and vigourously. A dulled or compromised remedy will react with a slow weak action.

Of course, its always better to renew the medicine from a fresh source. but at least the pendulum may help you thru a pinch.

I do this too!

I put the remedy under my grandfather clock's pendulum, and if the pendulum changes from 'tick' to a 'tock' I know the remedy is the right one!, AND I know what time it is!

I tried this only yesterday for a chap who said he was always 'getting in a flap' - so I wondered of I should give him 'Swan' in potency, but the pendulum said 'No'!

So I tried 'Falcon' in potency but the pendulum said 'No!'

So I tried 'Owl in,potency and the pendulum said 'Yes!'

So I asked him if he got in a 'silent' flap and he said he did - and how did I know? It was amazing!

you'd think it would be the other way round wouldn't you? You'd think 'tick' meant 'yes' ?

But this pendulum says 'tock' for 'yes' - does anyone else's pendulum say 'tock for 'yes'?

Sooo ... I hope you don't only think of me as just that Tanya?
I realise I mostly make humorous comment nowadays ( at least by my reckoning! ;--)) but many years ago I used to post a LOT, and seriously, on homeopathy (on this list but mostly on its precursors, as some will know).

However the forum 'medium' seems to have an inherent propensity for discussions to degenerate when accord cannot readily be found between different POVs, or perhaps it is simply that the medium, being so new, had no social or cultural restraints and a lot of unsuppressing happened on them. (No bad thing ) - It is not as bad as it used to be ( that's an understatement!!!)

After years of finding that serious discussion became hard or impossible as soon as someone became emotionally involved ( as they so often do) and then when the personal insults, whether overt or wrapped in sugar coatings would invariably ensue, those with the largest axes to grind would to usurp the lists because they were the only ones with sufficient invested emotional baggage to make the time and effort. Great for studying remedy types but poo for actually investigating any subtle points on homeopathic methodology.

So quite a while ago like several others I bowed out from engaging in any discussion that was meat to those that had such axes to grind ( bit of a mixed metaphor there ), because it is just too time consuming, and its a case of been there done that, got the T-Shirt etc

Consequently I put most of my serious comments about homeopathy on my website http://www.homeopathy-help.net (I started but ran out of time to complete as I am just too busy now) and although I still enjoy reading this forum I try not to get pulled into comment as I just don't have time to be that involved. Sometimes though my sense of humour gets the better of me and my post slips out!

I love your humor, so keep letting it slip out.
Concerning wounds from the acrid discussion that goes on here, I think it is important to not take it personally. I remember when I first started Minutus, the late highly respected Julian Winston was slaying the dragon of a crazy anti-homeopathy woman. He must have spent hours on his replies to her totally ill founded arguments. I told him that I didn't think he would spend so much time with a patient who just needed the right remedy. He stopped the arguing.
There are so many unclear points in homeopathy. It is important to get all the perspectives out there. Hope of settling much of the art of homeopathy through argument is not likely to be unrewarded. But it helps if we know the differences of opinion.
I will tell you that by now I have a sense of who has a perspective that is well thought out and articulate. I also quit opening post of pundits who sound like a broken record. What they are saying has value, but I have heard it before. I, like you don't have a lot of time. So I choose my posts to be opened based on my experience with the author (and the subject). I suppose I miss a lot, but that's my reality. There are certain authors who I try not to miss.
