Another example of something thought to be infectious

I just thought of a case which may answer a few questions.

It has been found that men that have circumcised are more resistant to
becoming HIV positive after intercourse with an HIV positive woman.

It has also been found that if you pour a liquid carry HIV on to the
foreskin, HIV is absorbed through the lower surface of the foreskin which
normally in contact with the penis. So this is the receptive area for this
virus.

By removing it, the virus has no point of entry.

So here we have the presence of the virus and the terrain shown to be
contributors to the HIV being passed on.

If I may use an agricultural analogy, the terrain needs seeds for it to
produce something. Without the radish seeds, you will not get radishes no
matter how good your terrain.
