Hi folks

I recently had an operation on my abdomen, had a cyst removed, does
anyone know of anything to reduce the look of the scar tissue?

In homoeopathy pre operative medication prevents many hazards. Non the less Graphites in 6 cH potency bd is good. Also Thiosinaminum 3x [Trit] tds for several weeks gives good result. Both the drugs can be continued together for several weeks.Topically Hamamalis ointment in gel form can be applied. But the role of symptomatic Rx is far better than the snap shot Rx

Some information on Scar Tissue in general:

If it hasn't started to form or is only in its early stages, try
Thiosinaminum.
This comes from Oil of Mustard Seed and can be taken orally in
repeated low (6c) potency, or rubbed on if you can get it in topical form.

Ainsworth makes a very good topical cream with Thios and Graph. They
will make it without Lanolin . I had clients use this for scar
tissue that formed after surgery as well as for scar tissue that
developed after a serious burn.

There seems to be a number of major players in "old" scars in general:
Sil, Graph, Fl ac, Thiosin, Sul ac...

Fluoricum Acidum is in there not as something that dissolves or
removes imbedded things, but is a real syphilitic remedy, lots of
abscesses, suppurations, deep destructive processes and decay, so it
would be addressing a very DEEP thing. Not sure that's what you want
in a retracing of the INJURY, because you'll stir up their syphilitic
miasm if active

Sul ac is Sulfuricum Acidum, and is the opposite: it relates under
"bad effects of mechanical injuries", esp scars that turn colors and
become painful. This would deal with the local and present symptom,
but is this what you want?

Thanks Lynn for the info, its just the appearance of the scar i'm
trying to reduce, i'll try the cream from ainsworths and see how it
goes, i suppose it will not be so apparent in time, at the moment its
about 150mm long by about 3mm across so it stands out alot. Thanks
