RLHH Update 2 - it's working???

Before the WW1, there were many Hom hospitals around UK.
Because of the force of casualties these hospitals were taken over and never
given back.
Now in London we are left with RLHH, headed by Dr Fisher.
It would be a hard task to run the hospital and make sure it gets support
from all the fund holders - but things are result driven and one has to show
effectiveness.
However, I think we have a fundamental problem and RLHH have not helped
themselves.
I remember a few years ago BBC were running a programme where with the
assistance of a very pro-alternatives GP they tried various therapies and
eventually it was Homeopathy's turn.
The case was that of a 5 year old girl with eczema and allopathy had not
helped.
Now I would be the first to say that skins can be difficult to treat -
especially so if the homoeopath does not use all the resources to hand.
The girl was referred to RLHH and she was seen by a lady doctor.
I was not impressed by her case taking and less so by the choice of the
remedy - she was prescribed Graph and for the life me, I could not see any
justification in that choice. And guess what happened - NOTHING.
Now here was a great opportunity to maximum publicity and exposure. It was
totally lost. The viewers were left with the notion that Homoeopathy does
not work.
We do not know the training background of the doctor who handled the case -
but the faculty had some short courses running after which the students
could call themselves homoeopaths.
As director, I would have made sure that one of my most experienced
practitioners handles the case to ensure that the case had as high a chance
of improving and to gain maximum publicity out of it.
Some 14 years ago he came to the South Essex Homoeopathy Group to give a
talk. He was booed by Homeopaths!
Also last year there was a debate at London natural History Museum between
Dr Fisher and Dr Ben Goldacre (who denies that homoeopathy works).
Until some of the homoeopaths in the audience came to his help, Dr Fisher
was on a losing wicket!
One would expect more from The Physician to the Queen.
