Dizzy Gillespie's actual quote

Friends,
Because I was the one who helped make this quote known, please note that someone is misspelling "bebop" as bepop (see the incorrect spelling below). This is embarrassing to people who know music.
And so that you will know, this quote came to me from Jon Faddis and his former wife (and New York homeopath) Sylvia Faddis. Jon Faddis was Dizzy's protege, and Jon was later head of the jazz band at Carnegie Hall and also at Lincoln Center. He's huge! Although he and Sylvia divorced many years ago, Jon has a big love for homeopathy. These and other stories will be in my forthcoming book, due out in September.
