Observation of the flu season symptoms

Since the flu season is starting, and I've seen about 10-12 people now
from two different states with the same general symptoms, I thought I
would see if anyone else is getting a genus epidemicus for this year's
influenza.

List of Symptoms:

Comes on mild, low fever throughout.
Good appetite, even increased. General lack of GI symptoms.
Affinity for the eyes. In children, this displays as inflammed lids
(lower and upper), inflammed pink corneas, copious thick yellow
discharges from the corners of the eyes, the eyes are stuck shut in
the morning. < cleaning the eyes, < touch.
Dry, raspy, intermitant cough.
Headaches, around the base of nose and back of head, pressing pain,
and may include eye area.
Eye and headache symptoms are < light, reading, fine work.
All symptoms < night.
Needs to stretch and move about in the bed.
Needs to be covered head to toe, feels chilled.

I have found that Ferrum phos helps the symptoms at the onset, and
Rhus tox greatly helps with the eye symptoms and progression of the
flu. In fact, it's the only remedy I've found to help, so if anyone
else has other suggestions, I'd love to hear about them.

Hope this information helps!

Blessings,
Cristi Lewis, CHom.

Hi Cristi,
The symptoms you describe have their match in Hepar sulfuris.

Has the appetite increased during cough/coryza,
Agg. from light/touch
Headaches at root of nose
Restlessness of lower limbs in bed
Of course extremely chilly, wants to be wrapped up
And the inflamed eyes with discharge, thick and yellow.

Best,

Gaby
