Had a new patient in today who has Vaginal Lichen Sclerosis amongst other things. She is scared to stop using steroid cream as she says if it is allowed to return to white patches she has bee told it can develop to cancer. Has anyone come across this before?

That's interesting as my patient's symptoms repped out as Nat Mur but Nat
Mur is one remedy she is not!!! Lycopodium is a remedy I was thinking about
for her except the time modalities were all wrong. So although your patient
did well the Lichen didn't improve. Shame!! I'll let you all know if I get
anywhere with it!

Why are you emphatic that she's not nat mur? Just curious--one of my
folks who did *extremely* well on nat-m I would have thought could not
"be" that rx, but on perusing the rubrics and reading more I realized
that she could indeed, and it surely did act well for her!

Good question . Basically she was not a closed person inn any way and
doesn't hold grudges or think back on the past. She wasn't into salt but of
cause this could be a polarity. Maybe I should read more!!! Bailey???

Dear Pauline,
Thanks for that. It looks as if I shouldn't be too hopeful. I think the
allopaths have a lot to answer for frightening patients as on a web search I
found that cancer might affect only 3-5% and I would hope constitutional
prescribing would alleviate that.
I have to say that I have found homeopathy has helped patients with
psoriatic arthritis. Genitals herpes can be helped as well in that
recurring episodes are much further apart. Maybe not cured but certainly
helped.
All the best

She has Lichen Sclerosis. I have asked a few people including Dr S Banerjea
this weekend as I was on one of his post grad weekends and he also says he
has not been able to cure only to improve it. Luckily the patient came for
help with another symptom - not this!!

Rochelle,
In a post at another time I mentioned that I had had a client with this problem, in the vagina and a
little in the mouth.
I took her case, and decided to put her on an organ support program for 4-6 weeks before giving her
a remedy, as this was indicated by her history especially liver (hepatitis and hydatid), and then I
worked on some of her psychological issues.

She reported to me, after about 6 weeks and said she was fine. She didn't come back for another
appointment at that time, which surprised me, but did make an appointment 6 months later, for
psychological treatment for an issue she had that had just happened, and when asking after the
Lichen sclerosis, she said that had almost all gone all by itself. When I had seen her, it was
making intercourse very difficult, as was almost closed over.

She said she felt so good after the first visit, and the organ support treatment, and noticed that
it just receded.

On reflection of her case, there were clear indications that the Lichen sclerosis was the end result
of a very traumatic event or two that had occured in her life, and for which I had provided
psychological treatment in that first visit.

This patient was someone who did not like to let others know the state she was in, personally and
professionally. There was an issue with her husband to do with 'unfaithfulness' and consequent
sexual relations with him, although she thought she had forgiven him, as well as serious personal
suffering from a problem at her work.

I posed the possibility, that developing the Lichen sclerosis in the vagina, and also a little in
the mouth, rather than on the outside, the skin, may have been in line with her way of handling
things psychologically --- so noone could see. She felt that was a fair assessment of the situation.

Her problems with husband were resolved, and they had couples therapy for two sessions to, to tidy
that up, and her work problems were resolved by a change of view on her part, of the whole
situation.

All I can say is that, even though I had found that Dr. Shah devotes a whole site to this problem,
and that I was looking forward to treating it with homoeopathy, I never got the chance.

I am aware that this does not help you with homoeopathic treatment too much, but as i am aware you
use EFT, you may find some clues from this post, that may help you with that aspect if you choose to
use it with this client as well as homoeopathic treatment.

Best to you Rochelle

Robyn
