Yup, it's a terminology problem!
LMs are an entirely different "scale" from Cs or Xs, and they are
prepared differently.
I think David Little's site includes an article about how LMs are
prepared, which would illustrate the difference.
And, just as we have (e.g.) 30c... 10M... etc. in the C scale, and
(e.g.) 12x ... 30x ... in the X scale, in the LM scale we have LM-1 ...
LM-30, etc. LM scale is sometimes called the Q scale (do I have that
right?), but Q is also used for other things too, so one has to be
careful that one is understanding the context in any particular
reference--and *that* is a situation where better standardization would
be avery good thing!!
