Please join us for a day long seminar for practitioners and lay people who want to learn to use homeopathy in their practice or every day lives to restore health to animals. This day long presentation will be given as an adjunct to the annual meeting of The Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy. If you are new to Homeopathy you will get a deep understanding of what homeopathy is all about, the tools and resources used. After this introductory seminar, you will be able to treat some animals with homeopathy, recognize which to refer for homeopathic treatment and know the principles of healing. You will have the foundation principles to be able to study on your own and in classes.

This 6 hour seminar is designed for veterinarians who are considering studying homeopathy, as well as for support staff and animal guardians who would like more knowledge about this modality.
Christina Chambreau, DVM, CVH, and Jill Elliot, DVM, homeopathic practitioners and authors, will provide an overview of homeopathy. During the course of the day, they will discuss how homeopathy can prevent many diseases and cure frustrating cases.
They'll cover the basic principles of homeopathy, including the concepts of"like cures like" and "the minimum dose."
They'll discuss keys to recognizing if an animal is deeply healing or just superficially improving.
The goal of prescribing is to find the similimum, the substance that matches the symptoms of the patient and that will therefore help the most. Drs. Chambreau and Elliot will delve into homeopathic case-taking in order to find this similimum.
They'll provide an overview of the different tools of the homeopathic practitioner: the repertories, materia medicas and computer programs.
Finally, they'll teach you some basic remedies that you'll be able to use immediately for various problems.
