Hello All,
Rosemary Oil smells very much like Camphor.
Do you think it will affect the remedy?
I'm thinking it's NOT Camphor but it does smell like it.
I have someone that uses Rosemary Oil and I don't want her to ruin the
remedy.

Hello, Emily -

Rosemary oil has (as you well know, I am sure) an antibiotic and
cardiotonic effect. It is a MAJOR stimulant, with a very pervasive odour.

So, one would assume it would be a "no-no".

But I don't really know; nobody does for sure, it seems.
Chamomile is also supposed to be avoided. Why? I suppose it would be
for the same reason as Camphor or the great "Nemesis" of homoeopathic
remedies: Peppermint.

On the other hand, there are those who say (quite reasonably, it
seems) that foreign substances - including caffeine - shouldn't really
affect the higher potencies.

Bottom line: we don't know. not for sure - not 100&.

i was in touch with a naturopath a while ago who sold young living
essential oils.
now these oils may not be as potent as those used in aromatherapy.
he swore they didn't interfere with homeopathy but i always doubted him
especially with the strong smelling peppermint oils.

Hahnemann warns against the use of perfumes and strong odors like
flowers in a room. Many essential oils are antibiotic and if you go
by the claims of aromatherapists they also have other medicinal
properties.

I've seen in my entire life - counting those of which I was aware,
obviously - was the effect of certain essential oils on the skin (of

I've been in aromatherapy for more than ten years now (and make all -

So... yes, giving up EO can be a huge predicament.
