neurodegenerative disease

Dear readers,
Yesterday I got a very unusual case and I'm looking for help or direction. I have permission -rather more of a plea- to get help or advice from anyone so I present the case and doctor's report below.
Sadly, I didn't give the parents much hope, tho I will still move along and see if homeopathy has anything to offer here. I will accept any advice/ insight homeopathic or otherwise -online or off.

M___, f, 6 presents as if she's retarded or autistic, but its not just that. (NOTE the below are my descriptions in order for you to get an idea, there has been no such diagnosis as palsy or autism)
She was developing normally until the age of 3 (tho the doctors' report below says 2). She could walk, talk, and was intelligent and attending pre-school, etc.
She first lost her bowel & bladder control, then her mind, ability to talk. Her legs resemble the stiff legged, pointed toes of palsy. She can no longer walk and the legs are getting thin. Her hands continuously move in a way that resembles palsy or autism. She has lost her intelligence- she is fully "retarded" in her behaviour. She is losing her eyesight, ability to eat and sleep.
An older brother died at the age of 7 - apparently of similar causes- that is a sudden degenerative paralysis with pneumonia as the effective cause of death.
Her parents are 1st cousins and they question whether this is the cause of the disease.
The tenative diagnosis of the doctors is "neurodegenerative disease" with uncertain cause. They don't conclude whether it is hereditary, mitochondial or other cause.
She's received all her immunizations in the first year of life, and, in this case, I don't connect her present state to damage of vaccination.
RX: I started her off on plumbum 200, daily dose for a week.
Here's the allopathic doctors report:

M_____ was referred to [doctor preparing this report] by [a health insurance provider] on the 16t" October 2004. She was reported to have regression of milestones that had been noted since the age of two years. The first indication of regression was loss in rectal sphincter control with associated feacal soiling of her clothes with stool. A few months later she was noted to have progressive decline in expressive language, and as at the time of evaluation was only able to say a few words and she had persistent non- specific vocalization. She however appeared to follow instructions, played with other children though, she was irritable and always crying spontaneously: She was reported to have continuous activity: of the hands but she had not experienced any seizure.
The mother had a normal antenatal period. The child was born at term, had a good APGAR score and weighed 3.5 kg. Postnatal development was normal till the onset of this illness at 2 years.
M_____ is the third born child of [parents]. The first-born child is female aged eight years and normal, while the second born child was male, had progressive paralysis since age of three years and now deceased from the related complications. The fourth born child is fine. M_____’s parents are first cousins - their mothers are sisters.
Clinical evaluation of M_____ revealed that she was in good condition, weighed 12 kg, had head circumference of 50.8 cm, and her palms were normal including the palmar creases. The head, neck and vertebral column were normal. She had normal hair pattern, her eyes were normally placed, and the pupils were large but reactive to light - fundoscopy normal. The ears were normal and not low set.
She was conscious but too active. The muscle bulk was mildly reduced whereas the reflexes of the upper limbs were marginally increased. The sensory system and the cranial nerves were within normal limits. The other systems were normal.
Diagnosis: All clinical signs indicate neurodegenerative disease, causes unknown.
